A friend invited us to visit her family in Discovery Bay, and we were luckily coming on a farmers day weekend. I assumed it would be a typical small one since we were in what I considered the middle of nowhere but I was sorely mistaken. The first indication that I presumed incorrectly about this farmers market was that parking was difficult with only an hour or so left of the market. The second was the actual sight of the market itself. This market spanned about two blocks and was filled with more than just produce which was a welcome surprise to me. All of the vendors were so friendly and one guy even trash talked another peach stand that my friend had supported and got her to buy from his stand. Vibes were immaculate here and loved the variety! Would definitely return and look forward to when I do.

You do have a selection of fresh produce and all the Brentwood mommies hauling carts and children strollers. Amanda and Rachel were incredible from start to finish. I was so worried planning my daughter's 2nd birthday, and they were unbelievably patient with me, answering every question, easing my stress, and reassuring me that everything would be perfect. And it truly was. They helped me pick a theme and made sure there were activities that appealed to both boys and girls, with age-appropriate options for kids ranging from 1 to 8. They were also so accommodating that they let me set up a small pseudo "tat-two" studio to celebrate her turning two, which was such a hit and made the day feel even more personal and fun. We had someone pick us up and drop us off, so I'm not sure what they offered for DD's. The event is mostly inside the community center, with air conditioning. They also had some high top tables outside and a few more beer samplings. There was a great band, playing hits that everyone loves. The festival featured 20+ breweries, all sampling 2 beers or more. There was also a home brew contest. You sampled each one and then marked your favorite on a slip of paper and submitted it. They were all really strong entries! I'm not big into IPA's, I'm more of an oatmeal stout or light Oktoberfest kinda girl. I really enjoyed Heretic Brewing Company's chocolate porter and Deschute's stout. The blood orange and pear hard coders were also fun. El Gallito was on site, serving up what seemed to be most of their menu, along with options of fries and burgers. There was a bit of a line but they handled it really well. We had a burrito and 2 tamales, for $8! They also had a caricature artist and free water. Our son had an amazing time, and several of the other parents commented on how smooth everything was and how beautiful the theater is.
