I see that Brandon has responded with excuses about the pandemic. We met prior to the pandemic, September 2019, and his Yelp response came two years after I finally posted my review, when he disregarded my follow-up. I couldn't move forward with Brandon because he lied to me, claiming to have read my messages when he obviously didn't, while complaining that he was overloaded with deadlines. I followed up in 2021 because I felt damaged by our initial engagement and was hoping there was a way through. No response, which he has attributed to the pandemic. Again, my experience with Brandon was six months prior to the pandemic, and the reasonings he's listed here do not apply to this situation. His pandemic cop-out is a deflection from his disregard for my 2019 polite requests for guidance before I was to meet with the IRS. It is disingenuous to for him to claim otherwise. read more

Works hard in the off-season to help manage your finances, and really informs you in the process. I was dropped by my tax preparer a month before the tax deadline and one of my friends recommended me to work them with Brandon. He instantly set up a videocall with me to understand the amount of documents that I needed to submit and within a week he had everything set up for my wife and I to sign our tax documents and file our taxes. It was a really good experience since everything is computerized so my wife didn't need to put much effort in sending the documents from out of state and sign the docs. Brandon is great to work with. He understood tax laws in California and Utah since I had dealings in both states. He was patient with me when I failed to understand his questions or upload the correct documents. And he asked the right questions that lead me to search for documents I wouldn't have thought to look for to get the best write-offs. Somehow in spite of all this, his rates are very very reasonable. I really enjoyed working with him. Somehow even during peak tax season, he was responsive to questions and has a sharp sense of humor. Why is that important? I don't know.
