I've been taking my son here for almost 2 years now. The doctors here are always so helpful, take…read moretheir time with each patient, & make you feel at ease about things that you may be worried about. They have a very good nurse staff as well. I love that they have where you can call in & speak to a nurse about any questions or concerns you may have about your child. All of the rooms in the office are decorated in different kid themes so that they are less 'scary' to the children...& give them something to focus on other than the scary doctor! Only thing that I dislike about the office is the waiting area. It's very small & although they have a 'well visit' & a 'sick visit' side...your still really close to each other!

We've seen Dr. Max-Wright for newborn well checks and she has been amazing! Not only is she very…read moreknowledgeable about all of the medical milestones and concerns, but she has so much knowledge about breastfeeding and mom related issues which may be "normal," but for this first time mom, was a welcome surprise. She has a calming presence for the overly worried new mom, and address the questions/concerns with importance no matter so nominal they may actually be. She's always been timely which isn't an expectation at a busy office, but is nice, especially with kids in tow. The office staff is also very kind and welcoming and their 7 days a week hours as well as an ability to work you in fast/select walk in appointments is such a convenience!

Since being acquired by Trusted Doctors, their office staff has been nothing short of a nightmare…read more After being patients for close to 10 years, they put all of our children to "inactive" status when there was a problem on their end with billing and insurance, even after we had done our due diligence to fix the problem. They provided no further communication that there was an ongoing issue, and we were surprised to find we were unable to make an appointment for our sick child when she needed to be seen. The providers are wonderful. The front office and billing staff is the worst I've ever experienced. I would not choose them to provide care based on the wall of problems we've run into since their acquisition. Sad, since they used to be wonderful.

Our neighbor recommended Piedmont Peds. This practice is good for availability, but the more we…read morevisited, the more we needed to visit. After visiting my child and I in the hospital, the physicians performed experiments on my newborn and I in its office following her first vaccination in ways that are not standard in new infant care in other states, without cause or communication, and it was quick to order tests without logic on my children to charge our excellent insurance plan, scaring my child and slowing our progress as a family to its advantage. The nurses are good, administrators are pretty good, but the NP's and physicians do not like self-assured, educated mothers who know their rights and sought to undermine as a distraction from surgical malpractice the first year in the region. Contributing to defamation, this practice caused social discrimination through social engineering and science in places like libraries on other mothers with children, and in my career in the community. It took every opportunity to triangulate between my daughters and I. It tried to generate an economy inviting our social connections to town, but also tried to make value judgements on our educations, experience and professions forged in other states, while encouraging a culture in medical society of ethnographic research using our family, as has historically been Virginia's and UVA's medical orthography, including historic precedents of eugenics. The outcome was trauma and hardship and otherwise we are very close. If you have a specific need for a child, this is not the practice for you. If you are the mother of an infant, I would not recommend this practice. If you only need vaccinations and well-checks for teens in sports, and you are Christian and have a positive church affiliation, this practice is ok.
