I'd attach a photo but my experience with Pendragon Acres has left me with nothing to show for it. We were told there was a money back guarantee. Only to be rescheduled 3 times, on the 3rd time we arrived to the facility and waited for 30 minutes until calling in which resulted in the proprietor bursting from his hot tub and running inside his trailer. We immediately requested our money back through his office manager(s). Each time we were given an excuse or told to come back to the facility. After reading other reviews talking about him pulling a gun, we figured we'd skip that experience and asked (extremely nicely) to have our money mailed back to us via check. We were told multiple times the check was coming or had been sent. It never arrived. The money we gave this man in good faith was no small fee. We were told his services were the best. That he had an incredible pedigree of dogs and a large list of celebrity and government clients. We then turned to the BBB whom he stopped communicating with entirely. We were told that we needed to be consistent, we would have been, at least we were consistent in trying to show up for scheduled appointments. Even his office staff weren't helpful in getting a refund. I'm left to believe this entire organization is a front and a scam designed to take hard earned money from people. It is with great regret that I have to write this review, However, This Company deserves -5 stars. Not only do they not return phone calls when they know that they are in the wrong. But sold me a overly priced rescue dog which was from THEIR vets mouth. They should had never sold the puppies that were during the blueberry season since they live next to a blueberrry farm and that farm uses air cannons which has caused our new dog to have PTSD also has Hygroma from laying on concrete at the kennel they run. I do NOT care who they sold their dogs to all I wanted was a healthy puppy, What we got is a nightmare. Since I have alot of medical problems it has been very difficult controlling 10 month old puppy ( that we have had for 3 weeks ) to do anything when out for walks or to sometimes even to go outside if a someone is even talking that she doesn't recognize. We have only talked to owners twice after taking our puppy home, once to take her to the vet that they provide, and to make a time to come there and talk about taking her back. They say no refunds but they sold a puppy or should I say a lemon to us. Which by law constitutes for a refund and to take the merchandise back. While they have not returned our calls to discuss further since they had said to give it a few weeks and call back now refuse to answer or return calls. So not only are they liars they are very shady and should not be trusted. I hope this gets to anyone that wants to purchase a Shepherd, I would beg anyone to go some place else, do not go through what we have been through. I also will make sure that this business that has been going since "1920's" so I am told will be shut down if its the last thing I do on this earth. NEVER BUY A DOG FROM PENDRAGON ACRES!! We recently took in a beautiful 8month old German Shepard bought from Pendragon Acres, at only 8 months our sweet boy has HIP DYSPLASIA, stage 2 ARTHRITIS and isn't even able to get up and go outside like the other dogs. Seeing this breaks my heart knowing hip dysplasia runs down the genetic line. There is no way they couldn't have know one of the parents had this conditions since he is under a year and unable to even get up and walk. Places like this make me sick! If you have also had issue with this place please contact me and let me know, we want this disgusting place shut down, no animal should be brought into this world to live in constant pain! read more

A friend of mine worked there for over a year, and the things that go on there... let's just say the "bad reviews" are 100% accurate. Dogs with known health problems being bred (luxating patellas, overbites etc) Their dogs go days without food sometimes because the "owner" would rather spend money on crack and tiny race cars, employees are sometimes not paid on time/or at all, water pipes get broken and whole kennel blocks go for days without water, NO EMPLOYEE/CUSTOMER BATHROOM! And employees are only allowed to leave for a one hour lunch break... Gotta shit? Better hold it till lunchtime (2pm) There's a pup with a broken leg as of a month ago, owner didn't even have a vet look at it. One of their adult dogs died, alone, overnight in her kennel even though the supervisor was made aware of her poor condition she was left, for my friend to find in the morning. Dead. After all the money made that was her final reward, dying alone, in a dark concrete box. They lie outright to owners/clients. The owner likes to tell his "special clients" that their dog will be staying in his house when they come to board or breed, LIES! They are left outside, in kennels. Puppies are grossly over medicated with dewormer, just to pass a fecal and get a health certificate. There is NO NEED to deworm puppies everyday, for five days, with sometimes three times the amount they should get. Employees, well....don't work there. No bathroom. Nowhere to eat lunch, other than your hot car. There is a/c in the office but the owner told them... "I hope you all don't think you're going to be hanging out in the office eating your lunch, it's not a break room." You'll be asked to do things outside your job description like vacuuming the owners house and cleaning HIS shit off his back porch. Seriously. And the lies the owner tells clients, and expects his employees to repeat, are disgusting. He calls himself "Captain." The only thing he is the captain of is lies and deceit. He was never in the military. Just don't. Don't give them your hard earned money. And don't take a job there. Last I heard, he only had an eight month pregnant girl working there, in 100+ degree heat, with no bathroom and no shade. Stay far away from this place. And choose a real trainer if you need one. read more

Sold me a unhealthy and unsocialized 7 month old puppy. Told me he would be perfect. Laid back and a cuddle bug. The first 24 hours he tried to kill my 14 year old senior​ dog 3 time. Also went after my cat. They were not aloud to get near me. Even went after them as they sat on my lap. Took him to the vet because he count stand for more than a few minutes. The vets opinion was a short life with a lot of vet bills. I've tried to contact them repeatedly. No response. My only other recourse is a lawyer. We have rescued special needs German Shepherds for the past 40 years. We decided to purchase a puppy so we could have a dog that didn't have issues (medical or through physical abuse). The website for Pendragon Acres had "quality hips and elbows"---that was the number one item on my list. I didn't consider breeders that were closer if they didn't certify the health of the dam and sire. I discussed with Ashley (office manager) prior to driving 5.5 hours to meet our puppy at 4 weeks old. I asked to see certificates of health on sire and dam. She showed me two certificates that I said these are 6 years old and for two males. Ashley claimed "uncle and grandfather of my pup", but assured me she would present the certificates as soon as she found them. When we went to pick up our puppy at 8 weeks, no certificates and when I asked about AKC pedigree papers was told I could have them for an additional $1,000. This was NOT disclosed prior. At this point we were livid and had a very heated discussion with Ashley and she said, fine leave him here but the deposit ($1,500) is not-refundable. We took our pup and left. Fast forward, we had our puppy x-rayed at 10 months old because we felt he was dragging his back feet---he is diagnosed with bi-lateral hip dysplasia. To date no health certificates on the dam and/or the sire. The saddest part is for the poor dogs that are being born into a life of pain and suffering. read more
