I've never seen a more complete and methodically assembled tax filing and he discovered errors in one of our previous year's filings which we will be refiling for since we are still owed a refund. This tax year we are looking at a very sizable refund from our taxes and we are a peace knowing it was all done correctly and nothing we could have benefited from got over-looked. I had one of the worst banking experiences I've ever had with Self-Help Credit Union. The level of…read moreunprofessionalism, both in the branch and over the phone, is unacceptable. After the merger with Cencap Credit Union, mistakes were made on the bank's end. Instead of taking accountability and working to resolve the issue, the representative I spoke with on the 1-800 number blamed me for their error, spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner, and even threatened my credit over a mistake that was entirely the bank's responsibility. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Rather than treating customers with respect and empathy during a transition that has clearly caused issues, Self-Help Credit Union has chosen to dismiss concerns and make customers feel like they are the problem. Every interaction I had left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and undervalued. If you're considering opening an account here, I would strongly encourage you to think twice. I called Elite to set up an appointment and I was scheduled with Cindy. My first meeting with Cindy was excellent. Not only did she thoroughly go through all of my documents, she also assisted me with finding tax deductions I wasn't aware of. I was so impressed with her professionalism and how genuinely nice she was. It took about 3 weeks for preparation but given the complexity of my taxes I was ok with the time.
