Because he is older (12) we struggled to find someone willing to help build strength and treat his dysgraphia. They also have helped with coping with sensory overwhelm and anxiety. The evaluation is molded by the person working with you. At Vita I was fortunate to be assigned to Joe. He is cerebral and knowledgeable with an eclectic array of skills. His multi-faceted approach is ideal for someone such as myself, as templates never fit. I am not the norm. Joe understands movement, strength, body manipulation, and the gestalt of health. My aches, inflexibility, and aging are handled with analysis, searching for what in his bag of tricks will work best. Joe is like a Zen Master, and I leave Vita feeling exponentially better. The facility itself is clean, modern and comfortable, with enough space to feel private. Jennifer, Barit, and Gina, the front desk staff, greet you with a down to earth welcome, but they are also worldly, in a refreshing manner. My conversations are always enlightening, plus they are organized and keep the scheduling together. They use technology to make everything seamless. I went there for many months because I had two separate dr scripts to work on my knee and ankle, and this company got a lot of money out of my insurance, however, my co payment in total , totaled 15dollars. They added on interest to this amount , which is illegal for dr. bills and I get harassed via phone messages, atleast twice per week for a year now by this Mary. I have gotten so much harassing mail regarding this from this Mary lady, that the stamps alone she used could have come up to this coveted 20dollars she is harassing me about. I was going to go back there because of an upcoming surgery and needed PT follow up and was going to give the 15dollars that I owe them, but this Mary keeps on harassing me, saying she will take me to collections every time. On the phone, and in the letters, she threatens to take me to collections for 15dollars and then the added interest she added on. My Physical therapist I had was good, its just it is unacceptable to harass a former patient via mail and phone atleast 75 times now in total over the year, over such a little amount.

I then updated it in January, as I feel it's completely dishonest to write a review and not share both good and bad. There seemed to be a bit of confusion as to who was involved in writing it. It is written solely by me, and is based on my experience dealing with this facility. I am reposting with this clarification. My mom completed a stay at this facility in September 2025. There was nothing but positive things we can say about the employees and the rehabilitation hospital itself. Literally everyone we dealt with, from the front receptionist to security, to nurses, therapists, etc. were fantastic. A nurse named Whittany was especially helpful in speaking with the doctor about a concern, and calling me to follow up. Edit to review in January 2026 My mom had ended up back in the hospital, and needed rehab. She was accepted again at the Milwaukee Rehab Hospital, I was contacted by them, and everything was all set. A couple days later the hospital social worker told me the rehab place had withdrawn the spot, and gave no explanation. I never heard a word from the rehab hospital. I should add in here I left a VM for the contact person I had dealt with, letting her know how disappointed I was in the handling of this. I believe she was out of the office, but I never received any call once she returned, or follow up from anyone else. I left that out of the first review because I was simply trying to explain the lack of communication without going into detail. Thankfully my mom went elsewhere and received excellent care, but this completely changed my view of this facility. I hope the people in charge at any rehab place put themselves in the families' place and understand what it's like to go from placement to denial with no contact and no explanation. It would definitely change the impact made if information was given. If anyone from the Rehab Hospital wishes to contact me, my number is on file.
