The menu options are good and the wine list is ok too (good to see a lot of boutique local wines). The blackened Cajun (Cajun so the menu has mixed influences which is good!) squid was good but they put chilli powder in seasoning with out menu warning and too much but so long as you like chilli (my gf couldn't eat it) it was good. The steak was a too dry (funnily enough I still didn't mind it) but definitely Argentine open charcoal grill style. The barramundi was a bit muddy but the seasoning and cooking method hid it enough still meant it was nice. (Good chefs avoid buying barramundi when its muddy don't let them tell you it's acceptable it's not! It's a sign of stagnant water or unclean aquaculture) The staff were friendly and even though it took 20 minutes to get a beer (and we were first ones in restaurant) the rest of the meal came quick. The presentation was amazing and despite the problems I had an amazing taste residue left in my mouth after and I think the chef knows what he is doing and you really feel like you ate in South America so if you live on that side if the city, really there are very few if any proper restaurants to compete with it. The breakfasts that were served looked generous and delicious, and they have gluten, wheat and vegan food on offer and it looks fresh and sumptuous...next time! The first time I opened a bottle it hit hard and came off as structurally lackluster, perhaps even kinda plonky with sort of a stinging, chemically finish. That said, the bottle probably could have benefit from an hour's aeration. A couple years later, a second bottle of 2018 Bin 389 became more tolerable over time and after a double decanting. At its current online price of $75 to $85, in my opinion, it drank more like a $25 wine. It would be intolerable at 4X restaurant markup. Shrug. Lolzsies. I'm not a master sommelier but have robust wine-drinking experience and probably the palate of most experts maintaining 75+ aging labels among my collection. My experience with Penfolds is limited and while I'd open a bottle again, I'd do so with the understanding the cab shiraz blend benefits greatly from aging, decantation and aeration. The experience would not dissuade me from visiting Penfolds Magill next time I'm in the hemisphere. It looks lovely.

I'd rather take a cru quality Beaujolais anyday.

The menu is based on Lebanese street food and is deliciously fresh. Everything is cooked as you order and made in house. We went out of our comfort zone and we're not disappointed- the kofta was wonderful, the lamb topped flatbread was flavoursome. The house made lemonade was delightful and fresh and a welcome change from commercial soft drink. Coffee was great and the cakes available were house made and not available anywhere else. I have been there many times since, in fact my house mates and i make it a regular event, and I will talk for hours on end to anyone who will listen just how good the food is. I have never been disappointed by this restaurant. The food quality is so fresh, so tasty, so perfectly cooked. The vegetables always have that crispness that only the best Chinese food seems to have. Some of my faves include Mapo Tofu, any flavour dumplings, the spring rolls, sizzling Mongolian lamb, soy pork belly, black bean beef and the fried rice is great too. The prices here are so reasonable. Bring a group and everybody leaves satisfied! I have yet to pay more than $15.00 (in a group) and we leave stuffed every time. Masses of parking around the back, but slow down coming up Magill Road or you'll miss it. Keep an eye out for their big yellow sign and a couple of yellow chairs out the front.
