One of the 3 or 4 best meals we've ever had, comparable to the Michelin star places that comprise the others. We booked one of their last available slots for the ~7 course tasting menu about two weeks in advance. Because paired wine offerings are almost always just too much alcohol, we told the server we wanted two glasses of red across the courses. The sommelier came over and helped us pick two excellent wines that brilliantly accompanied the cuisine. In general the 3-4 different staff we interacted with were great. The first couple courses were sets of amazing "snacks" utilizing lots of local ingredients - one or two bites each. All were delicious and interesting. They came with a special tomato-vinegar juice (filtered, so clear) that was fantastic and a great palate cleanser. Abalone in an emulsion and squab savory courses were also really tasty. Two part desert - where they flash froze some berries in liquid nitrogen at the table as part of it - was not only delicious but great performance art. We went for lunch, which then gave us time for a nice long walk around Adelaide after. It was a lot of food, but not a crazy amount, like some comparable tasting menus deliver. All told just a terrific experience. read more
