Glen Arbor's secret - a real deal Jewish deli shop with enormous sandwiches and variety of bagels…read more Get there before 10 AM because they do sell out TIp: order the half sandwich or if you and your dining companion like the same sandwich just get one and split it. At about 14 a2 to $15 apiece this is one of the rare exceptions where it is a good value because you will get two meals out of each sandwich. We ordered a Tripoli (ham, turkey, salami, and provolone, lettuce, and tomato) and a Gaza ( curried chicken, lettuce, tomato, shredded carrot, and peas) both on rye bread. Both sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and we would definitely recommend either of them. Again, I cannot stress it enough, the sandwiches are enormous, and you really should share. it feels like a grammar school, kind of a cafeteria, it's modern and clean, but not particularly in inviting or appealing or charming in any way. Service was patient with his first time, kind, and very helpful. Recommend!! I'd like to return in the future and try their bagels. I'm disappointed that I came at lunchtime and all they had left with cinnamon raisin and I'm not a fan of raisins so... Next time!

The sandwiches were served cold, including a reuben. The bread was just standard grocery store bread. The staff was very pleasant but we were extremely disappointed with the food.

Super cozy inside, I feel like I'm at home. The store has everything anyone needs; fresh meat & cheeses, olives, spices, pizza flour, dough, cookies, wine, desserts, take and bake pizzas, lasagna, pot pies, and so much more. We ordered one of the many delicious sandwiches on the menu. I chose the Chimp Boy Gravel Pants. Roasted turkey, sundried tomatoes, pesto, blue cheese, provolone, Italian dressing, stuffed in a ciabatta sub- AMAZING. That will be forever in my heart. Made with love. I wish I could've wrapped that shop up, put it in my pocket and brought it back to my hometown. I will definitely stop there each and every time I visit TC!

The selection isn't huge as they have a smaller footprint but we found pretty much everything we needed in this small town market. Candy, Sprite, and s'mores fixin's for my little cousin, blueberries and oatmeal for my grandma, beer for my husband and uncle, frozen soft pretzels and mustard for my aunt, brats making sausage and peppers for the group for my mom, and Moomers ice cream and cans of Bubly for me. Prices were decent, especially for a smaller market, and they had a surprising amount of locally made goods. Produce selection was a little small (we had to go into Sutton's Bay to get oranges, for example) but all pantry items we needed were easy to find. The shop, because it's small, makes checking out a little challenging when there are more than a few folks in there. At one point my mom and I were looking at the ice cream selection and a line of about 4 people filed behind us. We didn't realize the coolers were adjacent to the second cash register! Navigating out was a challenge but everyone was very kind about it. Admittedly, though I read the amazing reviews for their Indian eats, we did not get any. But I'm definitely game to try it out next time.
