I was intrigued by the "hang out & make art" sign in the window and decided to stop by after lunch. As I walked in, I was immediately welcomed by The Decemberists' sweet musical embrace. One of my favorite bands playing? How did they know! And it just ended up being the sweetest little art shop. Queer-friendly (and queer-owned, I found after googling later on!) with local art for purchase and a wide variety of art supply mediums. I wish I'd had more time to check out the studio/"maker art" side of the shop, because it looked wonderful. I will absolutely make a special trip over the next time I'm passing through Whidbey.

I only took photos of half the sculptures I saw, because I wanted to enjoy the moment. But trust me it's really cool! Around each corner of the clean trail is a new eye catching sight. I love all things history and this little museum did not disappoint…read more Having lived in the Seattle area my entire life, I don't know (or remember) too much about WA state history so this was really interesting. With free admission for the month of May, we gave a donation upon entry and started with the 30 minute video about what we would be seeing throughout. Without the video, I would have been clueless as to what we were seeing and who we read about. Make sure you go downstairs to view the Native American artifacts of the area.
