What a nice & peaceful sanctuary to wander around & lose track of time. There are QR codes to scan to find out more about the artist & the installation. Free admission but donations are definitely welcome. The parking lot is quite small & was full when we arrived late in the afternoon. There's a little area to write your thoughts, so we dedicated a haiku to this sculpture forest.

We arrived here in the afternoon and looking forwarded to exploring in this forest. On the left of main entrance, you scanned the bar code and downloaded the interactive app first. When you scanned different bar codes there, you would be able to view different pieces of digital art sculpture in your app. It was cool. Parking and admission were free. Donations were welcome. There were two areas in the forest for many art sculptures. We were excited to check on each one. It took us less an hour to finish it all. Fun experience and we will definitely be back.

First of all, I love nature walks. This is the perfect little jaunt in the woods. The trail was very well maintained. They have two options for directions, you can do a wider loop that does dip down and come back up (more strenuous) or a shorter loop that keeps you more level. The parking lot is a little small, but still had plenty of parking available. They have beautiful sculptures that look very nice in the natural landscape. A couple were actually quite hard to see/find. There are QR codes with all information about each piece, so if you are tech saavy, I recommend scanning them.

What a great combo of nature hike and art! Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Parking and entry are free, though they accept donations. Our kids had fun racing around the forest paths and hiding behind statues. A porta-potty is available but no running water.

This was our first stop! Day one, morning hike with beautiful art sculptures and crisp, fresh forest air! Mixing a couple of my favorite things, add my boys to the mix and I was a happy hiker! The parking lot is small- the park is just north of Coupeville. The park offers relatively easy hiking trails adorned with playful and interesting arts- some you even have to look for! The whispy sculptures hanging between trees, that looked to be crafted from fine branches, play with your childhood fantasies! Whimsical arts, gorgeous, detailed carved wood sculptures, abstract art and more! Through the trees, a view of the harbor. Plenty of birds about and wild blooms and berries. I love the rich, mossy earth- the smell of earth simply sends me to a happy place. I loved starting our day with this hike!

This is such a fun walk! There are a good number of sculptures throughout the forest trail, encompassing many different artistic styles. The walk itself is pretty easy, with an optional sloped loop. The trail map describes the slope as slight, however I would say it was a bit more than slight, and to keep that in mind if you have any walking issues. The parking can be difficult as the lot is very small, but we parked on the side of the road and felt fine about that. They have a fun little book at the end that you can contribute your own drawings to.

Fun and unique spot for a leg-stretcher. The figure-8 trail has a slight bit of incline, but is well-maintained and easy. Lots of interesting art along the short path. I especially enjoyed the way much of it was incorporated directly into the trees. Parking is kind of tight, but there's ample street parking as well. Really a cool spot.

A guy working at the Bagel Factory said that if we visited Price Sculpture Forest we wouldn't regret it... and boy was he right! I usually hate reading placards but each art piece was so unique & interesting that I couldn't help but want to know more, so I read almost all of them via QR code. The signage was excellent. The pieces themselves were beautiful & fun. My niece & I took a ton of photos with them. The last "sculpture" was a good reminder that each person is a masterpiece - just good vibes. Pegasus was hard to find but a delight when we found him. :) I took a "where's Waldo" photo of Pegasus and had my family back home try to find him. Fun!! The Augmented Reality Sculpture area was so cool & well done. It was the last thing we did. It made friends out of strangers who were trying to download the app and figure out how it all worked. And when it worked, just WOW!! The forest itself was beautiful & well maintained. Request for donations were tasteful & I don't know who wouldn't be happy to donate after walking thru a true wonderland like that. What a treasure!! We were the only people there at 10AM on Labor Day and by the time we left, the parking lot was packed. It's worth it to get there early and have the place to yourself a bit. Thanks, Bagel Factory Guy!!

If you're near Coupeville, this is a really fun spot to do a short hike. The area is BEAUTIFUL, and the sculptures are really imaginative/interesting.

Beautiful nature walk with a variety of sculptures. Easy .6 mile loop. Each sculpture has artist info. Worth a trip. Loved it.

This is a gem of a find. If you are in the area, you really should take this short hike. The art displayed throughout is incredible!

This is such a fun stop on Whidbey island! I am surprised I never came across it on any travel blogs / articles - I just randomly saw it on Google Maps and we decided to check it out. We walked both loops and saw all the sculptures (some are tricky to locate!). It only took us 30 minutes to leisurely walk the entire area. This is a really unique idea and the art is so neat. I highly recommend a stop here to take a walk and enjoy some beautiful donated art :)

Amazing!!! Such a beautiful, free, sightseeing activity to do near Coupeville. Highly recommend!!

Firstly, several of these reviews are for the wrong hot springs. If a review mentions a restaurant,…read moreor a resort, or a time slot, they are referring to the SOL DUC hot springs, not these ones. Also, the reviews that mention that the hike is easy are all outdated! It's a slog to get there! The Olympic hot springs are a 12 mile hike mostly uphill. It used to be a much shorter hike but about five years ago the road washed out and you now have to hike an extra 8 miles... 12 miles total... one way. It's a slog! The springs themselves, while pretty, are shallow, muddy, slimy, and overall pretty gross. The signs warn of fecal bacteria. If you're hoping to hike 12 miles to soak in pristine pools, think again. Nudity is common. If anyone is actually using the hot springs, they will likely be nude. Get over it!! Let the nudists have their place... and 12 miles deep in the woods is a nice place to be nude. You might also see nudists hiking or biking on the trail to the hot springs. It's not common but does happen occasionally. Just smile and say hi! The hike starts off easy on a paved road for about 3/4 of a mile. Then you have to use a single-track dirt bypass trail that is steep and rooty. If you're using a bike you'll be pushing and carrying it over things. Then you're put back on an old paved road again. It's another 2 miles to the Glines Canyon overlook which is fun to see. Then it's another 5 miles on the same road, but now 100% uphill and sometimes steep, just to reach the trailhead. Once at the trailhead, you're already over 8 miles into it and you have another 2.5 or so to hike... bikes not allowed. You have to park at the Madison Falls parking lot. You're supposed to have a National Park pass.

There is not an elevation profile of the trail on the trailhead map which seems a shortcoming here. I'm not sure if this one is typical of BC or not but it surprised me how much straight up and straight down was on this trail. I'm used to a lot more switchbacks in Colorado. The uphill was tough but manageable, though not many people yielded as they were coming down. On the way down I figured out why. This trail is BRUTAL on the downhill. There's so much constant down that knees and quads are working constantly and the muscle fatigue around the halfway point was alarming. I wish I'd had hiking poles. Yeah, your experience will vary wildly depending on your personal level of ability. Stay within your limits and keep in mind that down is every bit as tough as up, if not more so, depending on how creaky your joints are. The area is beautiful and the mud was very manageable after a few days of dry weather. Make sure to walk through the mud - there were many areas where people had tramped a lot of vegetation around mud. There were many tracks of mountain bikers using the trail even though they are not supposed to be on the summit trail, so stay aware and able to bail off in an encounter.

Add in the sun.. Wonderful! I did the hike clockwise, it can be done either way, it's about the same inclines and descends, I guess it all depends how quickly you want to get to the lake? Clockwise, then is faster. Great swimming opportunities all around Whistle lake, definitely will be back in the summer. It must be a popular swim area, because anywhere it looked like people had used it for swimming, it was posted NO ALCOHOL, yea, cliffs, water, and alcohol may not mix. lol Lots of wildlife, bald eagles, ducks, swans, bushtits, and a few woodpeckers. All the leaves on the trails definitely marked fall weather, along with the mossy branches and fallen trees. Like most trails I've been on, come early to get parking, no permit needed here, but it was almost full and more cars coming in when I left. Trail was a little longer than AllTrails indicated, no problem, but it definitely helps to have a trail app, quite a few forks in the trails, with just numbers, not much direction. Beautiful views of a few surrounding lakes, farmland, and the bays. Definitely one to be done, multiple times throughout the year, as some of my other favorites will be under snow... time for some snowshoes? Possibly:-) After a fun cool hike a fire in the fireplace is going to feel good. Happy hiking and yelping! God bless and Cheers!
