When I came across John's portfolio I was really struck not only by his photography style, attention to lighting, and interest in scouting for visually interesting areas to shoot at but also by his talent to capture such great moments, how everyone he photographed seemed so natural and comfortable. I really recommend doing an engagement session with John before your wedding. It really does help make your wedding day go all the more smoothly, since John's already had a day to gain rapport with you (we did a hike together at his suggestion and loved it). We just got our wedding pictures back (the craftsmanship and thoughtfulness of the box they prepared for us is just incredible) and I am so happy and thankful that John has been our photographer. I was looking for a professional photographer to do an outdoor portrait session with my family. We…read moreran into lots of photographers out there but many were basically all the same. Same shots, all boring pictures with no imagination (sit down, turn left, face front). Then through a friend we heard of Caren Morris. We found her website and loved her past work, it was exactly what we were looking for. Called and left a message on her voicemail and my call was returned in about an hour. Her prices were extremely reasonable and we discussed what I wanted was some modern family portraits that we could put up in our new house. We discussed the shoot for a bit and we booked. On the day of the shoot Caren was there waiting for us at the park we decided to meet at. As discussed she brought some cool props to aid in getting our creative juices flowing! Caren was super easy to work with and had some great ideas as to what would look great. She was able to keep the mood light and keep everyone engaged. After seeing the final products (just arrived in the mail today) they are awesome! Not only the pictures but the presentation of them to us were on a cute little flashdrive in one of the nicest packages. Really, I was expecting a flash drive in an envelope so this was a pleasant surprise. I recommend Caren Morris to anyone in the area, she was one of the best photographers we've come across.
