In 2023 we had our commercial bldg roofs done by Penn Ohio Roofing. We noticed recently this year (2026) end of March-some damage and got a ladder to investigate. The flashing around the edge of the roof blew off-some is lifting up due to lack of screws and only half of our gutter brackets are on; *(the rest are laying IN the gutter) We called and left a message for them to come and check this warrantied roof out. No response. Today we called and were told we needed to provide our contract. I have this at home in our files so I responded-can you please pull this up on your end? We were told they dont keep this kind of record?? WTH? IM ASSUMING THEY PAY BUSINESS TAXES??? I was able to pull up the paid receipts in my email: $11,412 and $5187 We shared those but were told that if there was an issue with damage from wind; etc....they wont help with that. I reached out to this company about a month ago about getting a new roof. was told they did not roof mobile homes.. then today I receive a text message from them at 8:44am telling me to have the decency to respond to them! I texted back and told them they were rude and that I did speak with them weeks ago.. and that I was filing a complaint and leaving reviews about the rude text message. they then texted back and told me to go get my welfare check and that I'm what is wrong with America! I filed a complaint with the FTC and am reaching out to the Ohio and PA attorney general after posting this! I would never trust a company that treats potential customers this way. Amended review to five stars after Dustin came out to my home and clarified some of the issues I had. I am used to stucco homes and have not had experience with siding. He explained why the siding was installed with staggered panels leaving seams on the front of the house. read more

asked for quote got a quote. asked for proof of insurance and all of a sudden no one can call me back or return a phone call just happy I didn't actually sign any contracts from their reviews and lack thereof service I feel like I dodged a bullet. nothing like telling your customer you're going call them back only to never call. its literally the easiest part of the job and they can't even do that. read more

Hired this company because they participated in the 203k loan, aka a rehab loan, that I needed for the closing on my house. They told my the work was completed, so I messaged the mortgage company that the work was completed. Come to realize, they didn't do a portion of my roof. They did the front porch roof, but not the back. It has been one week and no one will answer me. And, while working on my roof, they ripped two of my window screens from the shingles. I called the owner and he talked to the workers, who then knocked on my door and told me "You don't have to talk to our boss. You can just talk to us" ummmm NO I will contact the owner to figure out this issue. Also, they left their trash around the yard. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SCAMMERS!!! read more

I hired Penn Ohio to redo the flashing on my chimney. They took me for a little over 2,000 dollars to ruin it. He sent young kids to do the work and they were very sloppy. They got mortar/caulking all over the brick, they left cigarette butts and got mortar/caulking all over my new roof. They were never supposed to add mortar/caulking to the whole chimney, only where the old flashing was. He got irate when I tried to get some of my money back and hung up on me. I originally hired Penn Ohio because of all of the supposed good reviews but as you can see please beware hiring this company. read more

If I could give no stars I would. We had someone come out and look at our houses window that needED a new sill and a crack filled. They man quoted us for 150$ which was perfect however after two almost THREE months of being blown off, not getting a time or date of when they could come do the project, which according to the guy would be quick and easy. So with numerous calls voicemails, excuses as to why they couldn't or haven't yet I wouldn't suggest this company to ANYONE. read more

We had Penn Ohio Roofing come out and fix our roof. When our house was built apparently the roofers did not put caps on our vents which allowed the water to come in, and we eventually found water leaking in our upstairs hallway. We chose them because a friend of ours used them and recommended them. At first they were great, came out right away to give us a quote. Were out shortly after to "fix" the roof. Everything looked great at first they were quick and cleaned up everything before they left. Then we noticed that they had damaged our siding when a ladder fell. No big deal, we'll just call them and let them know. At first they tried to deny that they had done anything, but eventually said they would fix it. It took them a while to get the correct color siding and come out to fix it, but eventually did, and it looks very nice. Then it finally rained.... roof is still leaking. We had leaks around the exhaust pipe for the water heater, which was still leaking after they said they would be fixing that. We went into the attic to check the rest of the roof. The piece of OSB that they said they would replace because it was so mushy, was not replaced. So we called them to have them come out and fix what they did not fix. It has been about 1 month and we still have not heard back from them, with several phone calls and emails made to them. I will be calling them one more time today, and if we do not hear back from them by the end of the week will be making an official complaint through the BBB and attorney generals office. read more

If I could I would have given a zero..Buyer beware! Our experience with Penn Ohio Roofing was nothing other than horrendous and appalling to say the least. To begin with, Dustin had never even started the job at our residence, after we explained we no longer wanted his company, he then stated we owed him money for a restocking fee and cancellation fee. Had not even shown up or called in over two months. Dustin feels that in his fine print contract, he can pretty much do anything but this is not true. Dustin tried to cover up his many mistakes in the bid proposal by falsifying documents. We have the documentation to prove this. Needless to say we end up in court. We win, but that did not stop Dustin from calling us after the ruling and wanting his money. He called three times before we contacted our local District Attorney's office to have him stop. Anyone considering hiring Penn Ohio should look into ujsportal.pacourts.us/DocketSheets and review all of his court hearings. I would also suggest anyone to look into your Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act when looking to hire a contractor. You can also file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office at 1-800-441-2555.In reality, being GAF Master eliteTM DOES NOT MAKE YOU A GOOD CONTRACTOR, it only means you can offer their products and warranties. You completed the required online training and paid the fee to become on the list (and yes there is a fee). All you need is an 80% to pass the test. Are your subcontractors GAF Master EliteTM? Reputable contractors are all required to have insurance and be licensed in the state they are providing the service, so as for the other requirements that GAF states, this is all ambiguous. The GAF Master EliteTM roofing contractor designation looks to me like a combination of a marketing program that recommends a specific GAF roof shingle product line and which features the requirement for SOME training by GAF. Remember that there can certainly be fully competent roofers who can do a superior job but who do not have that title! I would like to also mention about your warranties, (required to purchase a minimum of 12 per calendar year) read the fine print and search the BBB for the complaints due to warranty issues. As I mentioned before being GAF certified DOES NOT make you a good contractor!! I wonder does GAF know how many times you have taken people to court and falsified documents. Hmmm! read more
