First of all parking payment rates have drastically changed along with the hours that you need to pay for parking. There is no free half hour anymore. You now have to pay Monday through Saturday up to 10PM. I believe the rate is $1.25 per hour. You also must pay in advance and guesstimate how long you plan to stay and there's no half hour increments so if you only want to pop into a restaurant for carry out, then you need to either take your chances and not pay, or pay for an hours worth of parking. Also, none of the three places I mentioned that I visited exist anymore, but there are lots of great stores and new restaurants in Downtown Silver Spring to explore. This parking garage is the closest one to where all the action is in Downtown Silver Spring.

The technology to sense filled/vacant spots that's used it Tysons Corner Center, for example, isn't used here. Still, I've never had a problem parking. There are usually attendants on duty before 9 pm as well as several kiosks to pay before you return to your car. You can also pay upon exit, but that causes a line of cars behind you and is inadvisable on a busy night.

So, I am at the county's mercy. Usually, it's just an hour. It can be crazy busy, so pack your patience, and be kind to the man that sits outside the entrance off Bethesda Ave. Remember parking is free on Sundays. I had to stop a family from paying at the kiosk.

The current cost is $1.50/hr and it's Pay by Plate. The one thing I don't like about all Montgomery County lots is that it's pay by the hour. There are no half hour increments. I miss the days of coin meters! The garage is clean, and well lit. I feel safe coming and going on my own as long as I can park near a door or elevator. This was the closest garage to a Yelp event I attended, and when I return to the restaurant, I will definitely park in the garage again since it's cheaper than street parking rates.

The prices are reasonable in this garage and it's steps away from Woodmont Triangle and could be a nice brisk walk into the heart of Bethesda Row. There is usually someone in the office there- which is not he size of a coffin. I feel so bad for those workers in a garage that have that small booth that is just big enough to fit a human being... without their knees usually. I've been in this garage a few times, and have always found a spot on the first floor. It is clearly underutilized, at least the times I'm going. Great garage, no problems with this garage.

As I entered the first floor and found there were no spaces, on this floor, I had do execute a three point turn with cars in each direction. It was a real hassle. Thirdly, they don't have pay machines on each floor. So, they tell you to note your license plate, but with no pay machine on the blue G floor, you have no way to figure out how to pay. And, no one to ask for help. Then, all of the parking levels are marked G. So, if you didn't pay attention to the one strip of color on the wall, you wouldn't know which floor to return to. I went to use the Supercharger to charge my vehicle, and it turned out it was beyond expensive and cost me an entire day. Absolutely no accountability. Communication/ Customer Service: NONEXISTENT. Note that no phone contact information is available. As consumers, we are at the mercy of this establishment. Lighting: The area is extremely dimly lit. Be cautious and use caution. You and your loved ones' safety quickly become an issue. Remember, corporate does t care about your safety, only the profit margin. Cleanliness: is absolutely horrible. Once I pulled into the charging area, I immediately received a notice on my dash that the tire pressure on my rear driverside tire was low. I thought it was due to the weather change. However, I was proven dead wrong. After a visual inspection, my tire was punctured due to all of the trash in the area. It appears that someone dumped out a bag of bolts and screws in the area to sabotage Tesla owners. This quick charge resulted in a $630.00+ repair/replacement due to the punctured tire that occurred at the Tesla charging port!
