I have been coming to 'Provence Garden Cafe' for many years now. The menu is sizable but not overwhelming, the food is good, the atmosphere with greenery and a rock pool with fish in the corner is excellent. The best thing about this place, however, is the service. In the many years I have been coming, I only had one poor experience. I noticed the waitress on that occasion was not present thereafter. I constantly give tips which is not something I do often. There is no pretension, attention is easy to obtain yet privacy at other times is given. In short, they are always accommodating and respectful. Yes the owner and the staff are Asian but their understanding of English is ample to run a cafe. Oh, and no music (let alone blaring). I also love the fact that it is a business in its own right i.e. outside a shopping centre. It is also close to Eastwood train station which has a busy bus stop alongside it. Note: this does not affect the cafe as it is surprisingly well insulated against sound. I am thankful to 'Yelp' for giving us (i.e. me in this instance) an opportunity to communicate all the above to others. They generally don't do any take away food, so this is more of a sit down place. The beacon, egg and avo toast is good, and the homemade oats are really good. Just a warning this place is small, and most of the times the tables are reserved. So either reserve before hand or be prepared to wait for a table.
