Food was very very good. Might take a bit longer than expected to get your food but that's because it's all freshly made and very delicious. It's clear it's not some frozen food that's heated up. Service was great and the place is beautiful.
The food here was outstanding. In our group we ordered some lunch and breakfast and all was very memorable. The service was quick and responsive. We stumbled upon this place as a large group and it did not disappoint.
We couldn't have been happier with the quality of the food. Everything was exceptionally fresh and well prepared. It is on the expensive side, but you will get what you pay for.
The coffee was terrible no taste and cold and over priced. It was cold and raining and all I wanted was a decent cup of coffee only to be disappointed and quite outraged.
This place is okay. Fresh seasonal ingredients for sure but quite expensive for not a lot of flavor. My husband and I ordered an aeropress and he got the unlimited refill coffee. He ate the brisket sandwich and liked it. Said it has good flavor. I got the avo toast and it was $20 for barely any avocado. Very thin layer and then just a ton of vegetables on top with no flavor. I had to add salt to it. And the poached egg was on the side but no room on top or the toast to put it. So just very messy and not a ton of flavor. My aero press took a very long time and we had to ask them where it was. My husband kept having to ask for refills on his coffee as well. For $10, he wanted to get his money's worth. The coffees we had did taste fresh and good. It was also a Sunday so they charge 10% fee. So we spent $60 on breakfast for two people. I didn't think it was worth it but this isn't a bad spot either. Cute indoor outdoor seating as well.
Casual chill cafe with plenty of seating. Very fast service (almost too fast!). I had the rustic chicken baguette - the bread was delicious. Could have had more filling though. Overall, great place for lunch.
Cool design and ambience. Very friendly, with good service. The food is very bread based and I'd not hurry back to eat here. But, for a coffee or tea and to relax for a while, read or work this place will hit the mark.

Had we tried this place first, we may very well not have gone anywhere else for breakfast. It's reasonably priced for breakfast, and cheap for insanely great (flavorful and fresh) food. Get the breakfast panini, and my wife highly recommends the avo and ricotta. Also, the best mocha I've ever had. The only gripe I had was the chocolate chip cookie. Not worth it, wasn't particularly tasty, but don't let that deter you. Best breakfast we had in Sydney, and there's not a close second. (Yes, we had Pancakes on the Rocks)
There's so much to look at in this little ground-floor back-alley hideaway that I almost forgot what I went in there for. But then a big delicious waft of creamy coffee goodness slapped me right upside the head and the next thing I know I'm nursing a latte and a long black at the wooden bench affronting the window with no memory of the last 5 minutes and I may or may not be missing my pants. (Standard weekday, then.) Yeah but nah. Tons of charm, truckloads of character and a terrific roster of tattooed, accented cuties behind the counter make this place one of the most intriguing cafes in The Rocks. Grab the Wi-Fi password and set up shop at the family dinner table in the back corner surrounded by walls of beautifully-packaged foodstuffs.
The Fine Food Store is always a great stop in The Rocks if you're looking for fresh and healthy food and top notch coffee. They have a wonderful breakfast menu which is served until 12 on weekdays and 3 on weekends as well as plenty of fresh pre-made sandwiches and wraps if you're just stopping by for lunch whilst at work. You can be sure that you will always get good food and good coffee when you come here, served from one of the many tattooed and pierced baristas behind the counter. They have had a face lift since the last time I was here and it's now looking very chic. If you come during the lunch hour or the morning rush it's very busy so be prepared to wait a bit because you know it will be worth it!
Great find for a delicious breakfast! Charming little restaurant with delicious coffees, breakfast cocktails and food. My friend tasked me with finding waffles on a menu in Australia (harder than you might think) - which is how I stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad I did! I highly recommend the sourdough breakfast muffin and my friend really enjoyed the Belgian waffles! read more

We were lucky enough to be staying at a hotel right next door to this gem. Delicious fresh food, amazing service. Staff remembered us and acknowledged us every day we came in with a warm smile and a welcome back. Hearty flavorful breakfast with fresh ingredients and filling lunch sandwiches that were perfect pre marathon foods. read more

Started the day off at the fine food store and was exceptionally pleased with the quality of food and drinks. I got the chicken and waffles and my wife got the mushroom toasty and both were amazing. This is a must stop if you're vicinity of the rocks for a good breakfast or lunch...will absolutely come back when I return to Sydney. read more

Food is excellent, people are nice... AND open at 7:30 pm Saturday. Thank you!!! We would have come here more often if we had found sooner.... But at least, I now know where to go for breakfast near the Quay. read more

I am always torn when ordering breakfast - sweet or savory. Today it was a perfect wedding. Belgian waffle with caramelized banana, bacon and Mac nut gelato. Amazing. Can't wait to go back tomorrow read more

A reliable source for good coffee in The Rocks. Never am I let down with a curdled soy cappuccino here. The food just misses the mark, but you won't be left out in the dark if you're after something nutritious. I was a cynic on the new fit out at first- 'been there, done that'. But I had to swallow my words - this place has really grown on me. I love sitting between these stylish walls. If you're solo or duo, sit in the cobbled laneway benches - oh so qaint. read more

What else can I add? This place is legit! Their food is fresh, thoughtful and delicious! Came here three times during my stay in Sydney and had the chicken sandwich, breakfast sandwich and the avo toast. All were great but the chili jam on the two sandwiches is to die for! read more
I have to start by saying that this was a really good cup of coffee! Not the best in the city, but the best I've tried in this area. Even in the Aroma Festival it is still one of the best coffee places. It is not an overall dark bean, so if you like that you might not like this coffee. Saying that I prefer a darker bean, but I still enjoyed this immensely. My friend order a sandwich, which had oregano toasted on the outside of the sandwich. Which is cool. All their food looked and smelled amazing. I ordered for breakfast a Croque Sir, which is cheesey intensity, but in a serious good way. I would recommend this place for breakfast. I think it is one of the better breakfast places in the city. Also they sell gourmet food supplies here as well. This place is worth going to if you are in the area. read more

Good food, hidden in the back lanes of the rocks at Sydney, we've been here a couple of times already and they have very good coffee. Of course they should since they are in the centre city, but its always a pleasure to drink. Service is friendly and the place has been here for a few years so has got something going for it. I do like how they mix store type sales products into the cafe area without it seeming overly problematic (nothing too tacky given the area it's in). read more

Stopped into this place for a quick lunch before the Twilight Bridge Climb. I didn't want anything to heavy so I went with the iced caramel latte and the ham and cheese sandwich. Both were really good and for the price $17, it was worth it. After I finished my sandwich, I went back for the "Meerica Cookie". Being from the USA I had to find out if truly tasted like America, haha. It was good but at a cost of $4, was more then I thought it was worth. Bonus was the free wifi! The place is down an ally so it's a little hard to find. read more
Upon the recommendation of Twitter friends I sought this place out and overall, I think it does a pretty good job with what it has. It looks good... Nice eclectic atmosphere... They're using Sensory Lab for their coffee... And while quite decent... long black is a little bland... :-( It is still a much better option than the majority of cafes in the rocks (who continue to serve their industrial coffee), but with a few of my favourite cafes so close, I don't think I'd come here for coffee. Fine foods loves up to its name and more, given the absolutely delicious breakfast I enjoyed here yesterday. The restaurant is tucked in an alley across from the Rocks discovery museum and has a very charming and chic atmosphere. We sat indoors at a bar-like table facing a window. Once we browsed through the menu, we ordered and paid at the counter and the food was delivered to us. Ricotta and avo on sourdough: the balance of avocado, tomato, and goat cheese was on point, and I was a huge fan of the salad's vinaigrette. Belgian waffles: sweet on sweet; lots of toppings, from a banana to ice cream, and quite delicious. Roast mushroom and kale: in appearance it is similar to a sandwich. I loved how juicy the mushrooms were, and how well each component contributes to its hearty flavor. Drinks: we each ordered something different (chai tea, mocha, cappuccino, black coffee) and each was very good. Bonus points to the barista who made such beautiful latte art. The ambiance is cute and the restaurant is located in a mall in the Rocks. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich also had a side of spinach. The waffle with macadamia nut and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and grilled half banana was pretty. The waffle tasted interesting. I also ordered a side of chorizo. The smoothie was a healthy fruit and green shake. read more
Nice little cafe. Food was pretty good except I got the crab to add to my bagel and I expected it to just be crab, not a crab salad. I wouldn't have ordered it had I known as I don't like onions and it wasn't really worth the price. Food was still pretty good. I think my bf had the musceli which was ok but a little too sweet for him (I liked it). I had some kinda ginger tea which was really nice. read more

So I've never really seen the breakfast for two option the way this restaurant does it and I think I'm quite a fan! The food was delicious and was just the right amount for two people! And the chai tea with almond milk was exactly what I needed today. read more

Don't bother. Just take a look at my "club sandwich" (pictured). How you can make coffee alchemy taste so bad when you have all the best coffee gear I don't know. The club sandwich was abysmal. My favorite part was the soggy bread but the side salad was a highlight too. Wife's lamb stew was so bad she only ate the bread that came with it. Dry and flavorless. The tables and cutlery were filthy. Disappointing lunch and experience. read more

I was looking for a place to grab a quick lunch while strolling in The Rocks area. Found this little restaurant with great reviews and wanted to give it a try. We went on a friday morning and got to see The Rocks Market (available only from friday-sunday). We only ordered a meal with iced coffee to share as there were food stands we wanted to try at the market next door. I opted for the ''raw & roast mushroom, kasundi & smoked mozzarella on spelt w/ salsa verde + poached egg'' and let me tell you it was really good!!! The mushrooms (love the shiitakes ones) were perfectly paired with melted cheese and the bread was not dry at all as there was pesto spread. I added the poached egg (which was cooked, due to pregnancy) and it was still pretty good. We sat outside on a sunny day but there were also lots of seating inside. You order at the counter and they bring the meal when ready. Service was quick and courteous. Definitely a place to recommeend! read more
