So I call to make an appointment and I'm told new patients have to come in for two appointments almost back to back. Ok a little different but whatever. I also make sure to ask that they except my insurance. She says yes they do so wonderful I am a happy customer. The first visit is to be a very thorough visit with all kinds of photos and things that I have never done before. The second visit would be for the cleaning. Well the receptionist called me a few days before my visit and asked if I could stay for the cleaning. I was a bit confused as this was to happen on the 2nd visit but it wasn't a problem and I told her I could stay. I asked once again if they had checked with my insurance company and she said yes everything was good. So on the day of my appointment, I check in and then the office manager calls me back to her office. Weird. She lets me know that they are Out-of-Network and she is not sure how much will be covered by my insurance and how much I will owe. So I was not happy and it did not give me a good first impression or visit. I will say the hygienist who cleaned my teeth and apologized profusely was very nice and so was the dentist. I think the front office needs to be upfront and do a better job. Maybe this is their way of getting people in there and getting money. The jury is still out if I will go back. It will depend on when I receive my bill and see how much I owe.

Dr Hashim went over my options for treatment and ways we can lessen my discomfort and stress. She explained thoroughly what needed to be done to bring my teeth back to a healthy state, while going over my X-rays. She is very thorough, professional and takes her time explaining. I was given a treatment plan for my deep scale cleanings, filling and crown with detailed itemization and options for payment. The pricing was fair for all I needed to have done and the woman presenting it answered all of my insurance questions. The star of the office for me is Raphael the hygienist, he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, felt safe and explained every detail of what he was going to do. He is truly an angel! Another staff member, Desiree repeatedly provided me with false information and was completely incompetent and unprofessional throughout. No one communicated anything to me, and when I showed up in person, not a single employee offered an explanation--just a refund and zero accountability. It gets worse. When I asked to speak to the office manager, Zee Kazen told me the office manager "Ashley" wasn't in that day. That was a lie. Zee IS the office manager. He gave me a fake email to contact, and it bounced back immediately. I only learned the truth after filing a formal complaint with my insurance. My insurance called the office with me on the line (on mute), and the office told my insurance: 1. That I never received treatment (false). 2. That I never provided my insurance information (also false). 3. And Zee formally introduced himself to them as the office manager--after telling me he wasn't. He had told me that he just "deals with accounts/ finances" When I unmuted myself and spoke up, Zee IMMEDIATELY hung up on United in the middle of an investigation call. My insurance also confirmed that no claim was ever submitted and that if I had gone through United, my Invisalign would have been $2,000 cheaper than what I paid out of pocket. This office essentially attempted to pocket the difference. Since leaving a detailed Google review, the office has suddenly received a wave of obvious fake 5-star reviews directly countering my experience. I am filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, Florida Board of Dentistry, and the City of Jacksonville Beach. If you value honesty, transparency, and basic professionalism, I strongly urge you to avoid this office.
