He is so kind too and is so patient to listen and hear my concerns and answer question I have. Liz too is the best hygienist my husband and I have ever gone to. So I call to make an appointment and I'm told new patients have to come in for two appointments almost back to back. Ok a little different but whatever. I also make sure to ask that they except my insurance. She says yes they do so wonderful I am a happy customer. The first visit is to be a very thorough visit with all kinds of photos and things that I have never done before. The second visit would be for the cleaning. Well the receptionist called me a few days before my visit and asked if I could stay for the cleaning. I was a bit confused as this was to happen on the 2nd visit but it wasn't a problem and I told her I could stay. I asked once again if they had checked with my insurance company and she said yes everything was good. So on the day of my appointment, I check in and then the office manager calls me back to her office. Weird. She lets me know that they are Out-of-Network and she is not sure how much will be covered by my insurance and how much I will owe. So I was not happy and it did not give me a good first impression or visit. I will say the hygienist who cleaned my teeth and apologized profusely was very nice and so was the dentist. I think the front office needs to be upfront and do a better job. Maybe this is their way of getting people in there and getting money. The jury is still out if I will go back. It will depend on when I receive my bill and see how much I owe.

I was called in for my appointment right on time, and was in and out (including X-rays) in less than an hour. The entire staff was super friendly and I was able to get an appointment quickly. Super thrilled with the entire experience, the cleaning was thorough but gentle - highly recommend this practice! So many other dentists out there are just out to make a quick buck and recommend (or even mandate) procedures that are NOT necessary. I had gone to another dentist in the area that told me they wouldn't even do a simple cleaning unless I paid over $1000 (out of pocket!) for all kinds of nonsense. This was super odd since I had been going to the dentist regularly in Michigan and never had an issue. Luckily Dr. Guedes is an honest guy and said my teeth and gums "look great" - which aligns with what my former MI dentist said. I'm so glad to have finally found a great dentist in the PVB area!!

My Follow Up Review of Michael Gagaoudakis, dental wizard…read more........... Per my promise to follow up, I got my second opinion of Michael Gagaoudakis's treatment plan today, from a well known, well respected dentist, 30 + years in practice, who gets great word of mouth from people I know and trust. First and foremost, the dentist checked all my gum pockets and found only 4's, not the 5-8 that Dr. G. noted. Thus, no need for the $2000 perio-cleaning that Michael Gagaoudakis scared me to death about. "We have to have the firm foundation from which to work first, " He says. I couldn't agree more, but upon being checked today my gums, which are always pink and healthy and well attended to, my "foundation" is fine. The dentist today thoroughly checked the two teeth that I've had periodontal bone grafts done on, and they are still doing well. He even offered the possible option, before checking them, of pulling the back one to strengthen the one next to it as a viable solution, as opposed to yet another crown. Fortunately I do not need that! Bottom line: Michael Gagaoudakis told me I would need this $2000.00 cleaning and that I needed 7 crowns, at least one with a root canal. Today I leaving knowing that I need no $2000 cleaning, 4 crowns with no big hurry (except one which is has several cracks), no root canals, and replacement of a few fillings. What more need I say? I talked to this dentist today about how frightening Michael Gagaoudakis was in his rhetoric and warning to me, both verbally and in his letter where he fired me. The dentist read his letter. He told me exactly what I believe to be right. "Some patients may need some scaring, as they do not care for their teeth and need to be shaken to their senses. A person with my limited problems, with my high degree of dental self-care does not need to have the crap scared out of them." I think Michael Gagaoudakis would say he's doing the ethical thing. I say he's no longer objective, and is doing what will line his pockets. BTW, my file which he so condescendingly sent "gratis" and for which he would charge me $42.00 in the future, cost $5.67. I TRULY HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!!! It helped me :).....
