I live in Rockland County. Ed assured me my location was no problem. I have a wood burning fireplace in the center of my home serving as a true hearth since the house was built in 1949. As with any other open fireplace, it provided direct radiant heat to anybody in font of it while drawing cold outside air into the house diminishing the net effectiveness so much that I doubt the thing helped to heat my house. I decided it was time to spend the money to upgrade to a wood burning fireplace insert to maintain the option of enjoying a nice fire and augment the cast iron baseboard hydronic natural gas-fired heating system we have. Ed came down, took measurements and discussed my options. The prices he quoted were about $2,000 more than I anticipated so I pursued other contractors. GUESS WHAT! The prices from the others were significantly higher than Orange County Mechanical's despite my seeking to do this during the summer. Ed graciously took me back. I decided on the unit to be installed, scheduled the work and gave Ed a deposit. Ed arrived on time on the agreed date bringing a solidly experienced team. They got the work done efficiently. BIG PLUS+ They made sure to clean up every last bit before leaving with my thanks. The unit enhanced the appearance of the fireplace so much I decided to cover the previous brick with granite from Barocco Granite. This thing is tremendously efficient while still providing plenty of enjoyable firelight. Fireplace inserts are a great choice for fireplaces. Orange County Mechanical is the best choice for obtaining and installing one.
