I didn't leave because of choice, it was because my mother was at the end of her life with hear failure. My mom wasn't able to do anything on her own without losing her breath, and she was on oxygen 24/7. I originally went to visit my mom and stay for a few days. She lived in Trenton which is 1 hr and 20 min away from Absecon, NJ. But after I saw her I knew I'd have to stay. She didn't look well at all. I told the the lady in the office that I'd be leaving earlier than my lease term due to extenuating circumstances. I was told to write a letter and pay for the next month, which was Feb, March, April, May!! Then I was told I was still not in good standing due to a lack of communication and I paid again !! They knew my mother was literally dying and they were picking my pockets dry !! I loved this complex and the office workers at one time, I'm confused as to why everything went so wrong. My roommate told me he brought a letter to them and he was done. After that he remained at the apartment until early June 2024 and left. Never told me where he went or that he wasn't coming back until I received an email stating that I was blocked. My mom passed away June 10, 2024 and George left after having someone live there without my knowledge. I had to leave everything behind because I had absolutely zero help and was moving my mom's house in Trenton while I was getting what I could without a moving truck in Absecon. Now I'm being sued for $3000 by Manor Management while grieving the loss of my mother and as my ex friend and roommate hides in another state!! I did what I could do. Paid the last months rent, George brought the letter to the office and now after a clean slate of never being late paying my rent in almost 6 years this is what I get !!

I've been here since November and that is literally the only thing that drives me insane. I've lived in other apartments and have never had this issue. I have spoken to other residents and they have the same complaint. Leasing office offered to have me move to another apartment but aside from it being inconvenient for me I was advised that others had the same issue. (3rd lease)…read more From the original date of signing the first lease, I was scammed out of $120.00 in processing fees, that I was advised I would get credited back for... I never was. Additionally, the master bedroom had a leak in the ceiling and black mold actively growing, it took about two weeks to be repaired in which I could not move into the bedroom, also never reimbursed for that time. To avoid any additional fees, I put my account on "autopay", days later $500 was stolen out of my bank account by the accountant. Additionally, the washing machine broke, which took about two months to fix, costing me time and money at laundromats. Never reimbursed. The master bathroom had a very bad leak from the upstairs bathroom which took over two months to repair. The front door of my apartment has been broken for over a year, in which multiple maintenance workers advised that they would fix it and it still has not been. Most recently the air condition unit has stopped working and the unit was blowing out heat, making the unit over 88 degrees on a hot day, in which I had to leave and stay at a hotel due to the level of heat. When attempting to (stupidly) renew my lease for the 1st time, management withheld the lease, forcing me to pay a $450 fee due to their negligence. I've been advised that there is full-time "security" which has never been seen from anyone I've talked to. Vehicle burglaries have occurred, drugs being utilized, smokers on balconies, abandoned cars in the parking lots, college parties, and other noise disturbances. Even my sliding door was smashed while I wasn't home. The most recent issue I've had is with the accountant, I've caught this individual "cancelling payments", then charging late fees, and then approving the payment afterwards, but leaving a late fee. The payment website also suspiciously crashes during the first 6 days of each month. If you'd like to leave after your lease is up, it's a 60-day notice. Once you agree to leave, they immediately tour your unit and charge you miscellaneous fees on your last two monthly payments and threaten you with a court proceeding. If you wish to be month-to-month it's a 30% rent increase, 6-month lease is a 15% increase, and a renewed yearly lease is a 6% increase. But hey, you get free brunch on Sunday and the location is close to the shopping center and expressway entrance.

The pool is only open when a lifeguard is on site, but the issue is that these lifeguards set their own schedules. Sometimes, only 4 or 2 of them work at a time, and they go on break simultaneously, making everyone leave the pool. They return whenever they want, often still eating, bringing speakers, and relaxing by the pool as if they're not working. They also use profanity and ignore the guests in the pool. The admin team is rude and shows no regard for the residents. Their main focus is money, ignoring residents' input and needs. During the weekend, there's no one to contact in case of emergencies, and during the week, it depends on who you speak to. I've only interacted with two caring team members- two maintenance technicians- who mostly work at other properties. The one maintenance tech from The Glades at Hamilton Greene did a poor, cheap job when we called him for a door repair. Instead of fixing the issue, he just added two strike plates to cover the gap. We also face problems with inconsistent garbage pickup. They break our bags, and we constantly have bugs entering the apartments.
