I've been slacking on my reviews for Penny's Petals so here it goes: My husband and I have been devoted customers of Penny's Petals for going on 7 years. When we started dating, that first Valentine's Day he gave me the most beautiful bouquet of roses. They lasted longer than any other bouquet I've received in my life. Since then, my husband and I were completely impressed with the owner, Jennifer, and her floral work. Fast forward a couple years later, we used Penny's Petals for a death in our family. Keep in mind this flower shop is located in Millstone Township, and the wake was held in Fanwood (New Jersey). If you're not familiar with the distance between the two areas, it's easily an hour-long journey without traffic. Jennifer personally delivered the flowers to the funeral home, AND stayed for the services as well. We were really moved by that gesture, as well as how beautifully she arranged several pieces for us. Jennifer designed an amazing Ace of Hearts, and to this day, we still receive compliments. It was a large piece with so many roses, so I really appreciate the amount of detail and attention dedicated to this piece alone. We also had some small vases, including one with some lilies, which were really pretty. I actually still have the round vase she used for it. I always knew Jennifer worked tirelessly on her arrangements, but I really got to know the quality of her work when my husband and I got married. I had no idea what to do when it came to flowers, so Jennifer helped me to figure out what colors I envisioned. What an amazing approach-- it really paid off. One thing I'll never forget is when I told her that I liked the idea of pink and orange flowers, she asked me what hue or shade of each came to mind. That was so helpful, especially because I thought of a medium pink, and a nice bright orange to compliment it. There are just so many pinks and oranges, so she helped keep me on track to find what I was looking for. We used this color scheme for my bouquet, as well as corsages and boutonnieres. Jennifer also found a way to incorporate my wedding colors, gold and ivory, into the handle of my bouquet. All I said was "make it easy to hold" and she wrapped it in a way that made very comfortable to grip. Honestly, it was just so perfect and exactly what I wanted, that a picture of my bouquet is actually the cover of our wedding album! Our parents loved their boutonnieres and corsages; they were delicate but sturdy, and really popped in pictures. They were also light and comfortable to wear throughout the evening. Since our wedding, we've had a few funerals to attend. I trust Jennifer implicitly, so now I just pick up the phone and for something beautiful and appropriate. All her work is beautifully-crafted and arranged, so I just let her take charge. I'm always impressed and in a room full of other flowers, Jennifer's arrangements always stand out. Last year we got our Christmas tree and a wreath from Penny's Petals, and they were much nicer than any other ones we've gotten in the past from other stores. The tree lasted a really long time and the wreath was simple and elegant with little pine cones and ribbon. So beautiful! read more

the Owner delivered flowers to my office and all was well until I actually got a chance to look at the flowers, most of the roses seemed to be already browning and 2 lilies were already falling apart. There was about 1/4 of water in the vase as well. When they were called to let them know the owner decided to go back to my place of business without anyone knowing. Literally came in like a bat out of hell. She came in the office very confrontational and very loud and obnoxious she was extremely rude and lets say everyone in my office was very concerned about how she entered and acted in there. I showed her the lilies and she defended the roses were like that because of the color and type of rose. I wanted her to basically just leave the office because to be honest it was extremely embarrassing how she was handling the situation. I then called her later that afternoon and she acted as if what she did was fine, that shes just a generally loud person etc. I explained that it was no excuse for what and how she as an owner of a company presented herself, she didn't care at all, didn't even offer to return the flowers or reimburse us for the horrible flowers or her "customer service" I personally expected a but more especially it being Valentines day I expect a nice bouquet of flowers. the saddest part is that 2 days later ALL the flowers are now dead. The day after this situation my husband purchased me flowers from our local shopright in woodbridge NJ. they charged less then half what pennys petals charged and they ALWAYS do an amazing job. i took side by side pictures of the 2 bouquets. Guess which one got better reviews? i am disgusted at their service and would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

Pennys Petals is a wonderful florist. Jen who is owner and manager of the shop is beyond professional. I have been lucky to have such an amazing, talented and professional florist so close. My family and I have used Penny' Petals for a plethora of holidays and occasions (including weddings). Jen and her staff never cease to amaze me with their ability to beautifully arrange centerpieces, holiday wreaths, and floral decors. I would absolutely recommend using Penny's Petals. read more
