This is for yesterday's class. This establishment is great. They have a very nice operation and set up. We are from Tallahassee, FL and we enrolled our 13 year old son in the teen's baking course. The staff is great and my son came out of class very excited!! Mrs. Jack Selbi is very nice, professional, and very easy to talk to.

    Pork Lumpia!

Came back here a second time and it was just as good! Had the lumpia and moco loco with a side of sauteed egg plant and a fried sunny side egg on top!! The moco loco with the mushroom cream sauce over rice was amazing!! Get the FRIED EGG!!! It's so good with everything mixed in! The lumpia was fresh and try it with the mushroom cream sauce! It was so good!!! For dessert, I ordered the peanut butter and chocolate pie. It tasted exactly like a peanut butter cup, delicious! I can't wait to try even more items off the menu!

Ok y'all, I have found another hidden gem in Pensacola! It's a small hole in the wall with fresh, locally sourced ingredients with a flavor and taste that smack your taste buds and wanting for more! I had the collard greens with smoked turkey in a vinegar base...perfect, Mac n cheese with 5 cheeses and smoked to perfection. Plus, my main course was a smoked pork loin stuffed with smoked sausage smothered in a homemade mushroom sauce. On top of that, yes I'm a fatass on this intermittent fasting, I also had pickled cucumbers with pickled onions and peppers as an appetizer. All of this was less than $13 for lunch with a veteran discount! I will be back!

It's too bad this place is open a limited amount of time: Tuesday - Fridays, 10:30 am - 3:00 pm. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Pensacola. The chefs here exhibit their culinary passion via amazing/unique dishes--some Filipino-style. As far as seating goes, there are only countertops that surround the open-style kitchen and the window that faces the street. Additionally there is a picnic table outside where you get a view of the gravel parking lot. A lot of military folks in uniform come here to devour a delicious lunch. You must try their Best Ever BLT and the Moco Loco (with a sunny side egg). The house-made potato chips are also on point. They occasionally have specials which I can't wait to try. I highly recommend PCK--the truth among restaurants in P-cola!

WOW! I'm still trying to collect myself. This was undoubtedly the best meal I've had in quite some time. I had no doubt from the reviews it was gonna be good, but I didn't know this good was possible. I had the Moco Loco, they were sold out greens and was hesitant at first of the substituted cabbage, rookie move on my part. The cabbage was outstanding! Come in early to make sure they've still got food. This place does some serious business and is prone to running out!! I can not wait to return!

    Easy to miss!

I can't believe how incredibly good the food is here. I read the yelp reviews and decided to stop here for lunch with my daughters. One of them ordered the meatloaf with a side of collard greens and Mac n cheese. She loved it! I got the grilled chicken with mushroom cream sauce, smashed potatoes & asparagus (the daily vegetable). It was incredible -- I wanted to lick the plate. The sweet tea was perfect and refreshing. Service was friendly and fast. Things to be aware of: This place is tiny and easy to miss on the road. We drove past twice before finding it. It's hard to sit 3 people together. There's a bar counter and a few tables. If there's 3 of you, avoid peak hours, and expect to sit at the bar counter. There's some outdoor seating, too. Overall, awesome food at a reasonable price! Will return for sure.

They do cooking classes here and here's a sample of the February 2019 schedule or at least a chunk of it.

So I ordered the meatloaf and it was really good, but I gave them a four stars due to it being a day old and I could slightly taste it. But the gravy on it made it a slight taste. The gravy is super good and the asparagus was cooked just right. The whole dish cost me about $11. I also finished my meal with the carrot cake which was enough for two. I really loved this small place and would recommend it to anyone that wants some simple great tasting food! Plus, they're super friendly and give military discount.

    Very good

OMG, quite the little divey place that serves eclectic way satisfying cuisine. No not food cuisine, the chefs know what there doing and take pride in what they do. This is a small restaurant, just about five tables and counter service. Plus you have tables outside and as the weather cools down I think outside would be the place to sit. But, the ambience is a dive. It's an old diner. However, this old diner can knock out some food. I imagine that the hostess, was the owner to. Or utilize the space to teach cooking techniques, and to rented out for parties. I think that's a great idea. I passed by this place 1000 times, and never thought anything of it. Until I heard someone talking about it and how wonderful the food was. So, today I went there and I ordered the exact same thing that they had ordered. I ordered the pork schnitzel, the red cabbage, and the spatzel. Oh, at least I forget the mushroom gravy. All of it was out of this world. But, the mushroom gravy was phenomenal eat that off of a shoe. Well, as soon as I got home I texted a friend, saying we got to come here, because the food is awesome. And to think, for five years I've driven by this place never give a mention.

Mind Blowing Phenomenal food! I would seriously write a longer review if I wasn't falling happily into a food coma. The chef was super nice and even joked around with us. We couldn't believe how amazing the food looked let alone how it tasted. Recommend the BLT to anyone who has to try the best spin on a regular sandwich. Hopefully when it gets hotter they will have outside seating ! Such a great place!

Most amazing BLT of my life!! Super crispy bacon. Fried bread. Great ratio of mayo. Two thumbs up.
    Angelique L.

Best BLT I've ever had. Crispy bacon. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Just enough mayo. And the fried bread made the sandwich. Yes, fried bread! The chips also has an awesome seasoning. Definitely come hungry. Only open for breakfast and lunch so get there early. I'm definitely going back.

While in P'cola a couple weeks ago, I found myself looking for a unique lunch-time dining experience. After a quick look at earlier reviews, I decided on Pensacola Cooks, and glad that I did! This is a classic case of, "don't judge a book by its cover". In fact, after pulling in to the gravel parking lot, and looking at the less-than-upscale building, my co-worker looked at me, like "are you serious?" I assured her that it would be okay. It was way more than okay, it was amazing! Sure, the AC could have been a bit more robust, but once we adjusted to the "warmth" of the small dining area on a hot and muggy May afternoon, we discovered food that was super gourmet, delicious and a great value. I had meatloaf and my guest had the best BLT, ever. The sides were perfect and the homemade berry cobbler was just what we needed. The service was super friendly, as well! I'll be back!!!

Very accommodating and able to adjust on the fly. Presentation was on point and beautifully displayed. Great overall experience! Five Stars! Everything was a 10!!! Absolutely loved everything he made and I have already given his name to 2 of my friends that live in Pensacola! I wished he lived in CO.! The charcuterie boards were beautifully arranged and delicious. All the kebabs were very tasty though the beef and lobster were my favorites. The wedding cake was very good. Probably my least favorite thing were the beignets, but I was so full at that point they were overkill! The chef and team were all very friendly and attentive. I thought the timing for everything seemed on point and they were well organized and worked neatly. Just WAY TOO MUCH food! Either we ate less than what was foreseeable or they overestimated. the chicken was pretty good and the chickory coffee dip for the beignets was amazing Chef nick prepared an amazing meal for our wedding. Summer's Sushi was my first stop from the airport. We arrived just as they were opening for lunch. The menu has a very nice selection of the freshest sushi I've had outside of Tokyo. We had a hard time choosing so we went with: tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll, salmon roll, and the Philly roll. We grabbed an obligatory order of edamame as well. The food was absolutely amazing. Every roll made well and so delicious. The team was so friendly and welcoming. There were several sushi chefs putting orders together. Our food came out very quickly. Tucked quietly into the far corner of Pensacola's beloved Joe Patti's Seafood Market, Summers Sushi…read moredoes not call attention to itself. It doesn't need to. It waits with the patience of those who know they are extraordinary. And those who find it, find more than sushi--they find a moment suspended in time. The yellowtail bowl arrives humble, almost modest in its presentation--no frills, no dramatic flourishes. Just glistening pieces, not sliced thin for show, but cut with intention, as if to say: this is how it was meant to be experienced. Cool, dense, and alive with ocean memory. Each bite blooms slowly, almost shyly--first the rich, clean essence of the fish, then a quiet crescendo of warmth from the rice below. The balance is intuitive, not calculated. The kind of flavor that does not announce itself, but lingers like a name you once loved. The crunchy shrimp roll offers contrast, but not discord. It crackles lightly under the bite, the shell a golden veil around tender shrimp. Each element exists in harmony--the crispness, the creamy note of sauce, the whisper of spice. It is sushi not just as food, but as composition. You taste it in layers. And in between those layers, something else stirs--something emotional, unbidden. Not nostalgia exactly, but a kind of sense-memory, a flash of sunlight or a childhood summer. It happens before you can place it. Behind the counter, the open kitchen feels less like a stage and more like a ritual space. Summer and her wife move with calm purpose, hands fluent in the poetry of precision and hospitality. You are not just a guest; you are a welcome participant in something carefully made. The team, too, reflects this energy--effortlessly warm, attentive without performance. This is a place where kindness is woven into the food itself. Yes, there is a wait. It is deliberate. It is the natural result of freshness prepared openly, without shortcuts. And if the wait doubled, it would still be time well spent. Because what arrives is not fast food, but slow reverence. By the end of the meal, I found myself imagining a future event solely for the purpose of bringing their catering into my life. There is no occasion on the calendar yet. But the food makes you want to create one. Summers Sushi is not flashy. It doesn't try to impress. It simply delivers clarity--of flavor, of care, of craft. And in doing so, it transcends its setting, becoming something unforgettable. Unassuming. Unforced. Unparalleled.
