It wasn't to capacity, but there were 5 groups of guests working on projects and a birthday party in a designated group room. Jerry, is extremely kind and patient. He is knowledgeable about the craft and is wiling to help in any way. The price is more than fair for an evening of positive entertainment and camaraderie. There is an $8 sitting fee. This sitting fee includes access to all materials available for the craft and the fire of your project in the kiln. The cost of the the item you select as your project is the only other cost to consider. That price is reflected next to the item for transparency. In the end, you will pay $8/person and the cost of the ceramic piece. I painted a $25 ceramic chicken, so my total was $33. The length of time you spend at Let's Go Paint Pottery varies depending on your level of skill, the size of your project, or simply the time alloted to enjoy your company. Not only did we find a local shop FULL of fabulous handmade pottery but we got a detailed tour of his shop along with a fascinating narrative about his career and his work. Steve Burrow is a master potter and has been creating works of art all his life. His wife also collaborates with him to produce some of the most fabulous wood fired and electric fired pieces that I have ever seen. Check out the photos. The sea turtles are a theme in many of these unique pieces. Sea Oat Studio was one of my most treasured finds while enjoying the beautiful Gulf Shores, AL area and all it has to offer. However, we found out we would be having unseasonably nice weather (even for Florida standards) during our time here so we wanted to do something fun. It was the day before Thanksgiving, and most of the SUP places had closed up for the season. Robert was the only one that returned my call. Personable and friendly from the jump, Robert said he could deliver SUP boards to us that morning, and he was coming from Pensacola. Robert asked what type of car we had, our height, and where we were looking to SUP. All of the questions so he could determine what accessories to bring to meet our needs. He offered to drop off the SUP boards anywhere we wanted to meet. But wanting to SUP at multiple areas, Robert hooked us up with a roof rack system so we could bring our boards anywhere we wanted. Robert showed up at our rental that morning with everything we could need to SUP; boards, paddles, life jackets, leashes, and a soft roof rack system. He showed us how to get the rack and boards on our car, and suggested places for us to not only SUP, but to visit for scenery/food. Robert gave us a map outlining historical areas of Pensacola, and must-not-be-missed restaurants, with suggestions of places to go, things to do. For pick-up, all we had to do was leave our boards outside and Robert came and picked them up. We had such a nice time on the boards, they were in great condition, and the roof rack system worked seamlessly. Everything was handled with ease, and Robert was easily reachable by text. I would definitely recommend Robert to anyone looking to SUP. Oh and their boards are dog-friendly!
