Their truck selection was limited due to COVID but they still had multiple options for my business rental. Their service team was quick to make repairs to my lease units as well. Had a great experience with the supervisor and service manager who we very knowledgeable and informative. Would definitely rent for my company from Ryder Wilmington again and would happily lease more truck from them in the future. Not sure why anyone would say they give bad service. Great experience

Lacy's sent two tankers from their facility in Pendricktown, NJ to the customer's location in Newark, NJ, which is about a four hour round trip from Lacy's facility. Their drivers arrived there at 5 am which means they had to leave Lacy's facility at 2 am or 3 am. And they stayed all day. The first day was a dry run. The two tanker trucks they provided came back to Lacy's empty because the client in Newark was not prepared for them. However, the guys at Lacy's never complained and made zero fuss about it. They instead moved their very busy schedules around to make sure I still had services the next day. Day two, three, and four were much more successful. And even though Lacy's was not planning on providing additional tankers past the first day, they scrambled to re-arrange their schedules to ensure I had service. I highly recommend Lacy's Express. You'll drive by, wonder where it was, look all around, turn around and come back only to see how obvious it was and smack yourself. It's not just me. Other people have done this as well. So watch out right as you're passing what looks like an interstate on/off ramp. It's right there! Other than that, there's not much to say about the place. It's U-Haul.

In Chester?…read moreI made the reservation online through Uhaul.com, someone called me back within hours from the actual location to verify the order and the truck size etc... super friendly and helpful. When I arrived, a couple were complaining because the truck they had reserved wasnt there (word to the wise, no matter what the uhaul website says, always call the location directly and verify - learned while standing in line at uhaul)... While I was standing in line my house that i was moving into fell through and I had to not only get a truck, but also a storage place. It was hot, people were complaining, I just lost my house and was on the brink of tears... And the uhaul folks were no nice, so professional, so helpful. Also, the grounds are clean, the trucks are good, etc...

So I went back and changed it to a regular credit card, then they called and said the name on the card didn't match the name on the account. They demanded that I return the vehicle, which I did just to get them out of my life. Poorly run operation that's still looking for a clue.

Although U-haul sets the rates, I found that the rental only facility to be more amicable and include blankets and hand trucks in each vehicle w/o add'l cost. Staff was helpful, honest at the 'rental only'. Storage facility staff are total sales people, trying to sell you the store. Oh, "rental only" trucks were always clean. Had to rent different trucks past 2 weekends with success.

Two weeks ago I reserved a moving van at the Media, Pa. location for a move this Saturday 12/10. I received a call the evening of Thursday 12/8 that the van would not be available at the location that I requested but was available at their Wilmington DE location. I was offered a 10' truck which I accepted as a substitute. I was put on hold and then told that the truck would not be available either. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that Kyle, at the 808 Service Center, who called me was the Manager. I asked that the 9' van that I had reserved be moved to Media as I did not have time to make other arrangements. I was told that this could not happen. I was abruptly put on hold and transferred to Customer Service. Customer Service also told me the same things and I asked for a transcript of the conversation. Customer Service without my request transferred me back to somebody who I later was made aware was Kyle from the 808 Service Center again. I have cancelled my order with Uhaul and will never use Uhaul again. In addition, I will do everything that I can, including posting on every multimedia page, about the horrible and rude customer service of Uhaul. As a public company, I would expect the employees in this company would be trained and that they would not disappoint their customers like they have me. I will continue to watch their stock only to see that they are punished as the horrible customer service company that they are. I would say based on my most recent experience that you cannot rely on a company like Uhaul for your moving needs.
