Even after they finish loading, they linger next to their truck and in their vehicle, slowly counting cash or chatting, refusing to move until they're good and ready. Then, when you finally ask them to pull out, they shoot you a dirty look like you're the one inconveniencing them.

This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had…read more I arrived with a confirmed truck reservation and waited in line for well over an hour and a half, only to be told that the truck I had reserved wasn't available. That completely defeats the purpose of making a reservation. The only solution offered was for me to drive to another location and return the truck 24 hours earlier than my original reservation. That wasn't a solution--it simply shifted U-Haul's problem onto me. To make matters worse, the entire operation appeared to be in chaos. The computer system was painfully slow or not functioning properly, employees seemed overwhelmed and unable to resolve even basic issues, and customers just kept piling up. The person ahead of me was also told their reserved truck wasn't available, and nearly everyone in line had already been waiting 30 minutes or more. The most frustrating part? While I was still standing there waiting for U-Haul to figure things out, I called Penske through Home Depot and had a truck reserved in just a few minutes. I ended up taking my business elsewhere because U-Haul simply couldn't deliver on the service they promised. If your move depends on having a truck when you need it, I would strongly recommend having a backup plan or choosing another rental company altogether. A reservation here apparently means very little. This location wasted hours of my day, added unnecessary stress to an already stressful move, and showed no sense of urgency or accountability. Special shout out to Herisha who was incredible at their job and made renting a new space easy and quick. Remember, as a general rule, storage rental facilities are largely unregulated which means they can raise your rent with 30 days notice to pretty much any amount they want and they know they have you on the hook because you won't want to relocate your stuff. If you get a quoted price online, lock it in for six month or a year by pre-paying if you can. ALSO remember - you can get your own rental unit insurance from any number of companies for half what the rental unit companies will charge you and bring in proof of insurance at the time you rent (but you MUST do it in person). ALSO ALSO remember - you can also bring your own secure lock and not pay $20 for one of their locks. Do all of the above and any smart reasonable manager or employee is going to make your rental process smooth and painless.
