My co-worker had emailed Ryder a few days prior but was told no trucks were available for the time period we needed. Then, after a cancelation, we were notified a refrigerated truck was indeed available, so we went to pick it up on a Friday afternoon. Conveniently located near both I-275 & I-4, Ryder Truck Rental was easy to find, and their rental office was well-marked. Picking up the rental was painless.... My co-worker & I watched a brief video detailing the important operational functions of the refrigerated truck, my driver's license was copied, I signed something, and off we went. And returning the truck about 18 days later was even simpler. The truck seemed to be in great functional condition throughout our rental, and although I saw minor signs of use (dingy seats), I was delighted to find the radio and A/C both worked well during the two times I drove it. Additionally, customer service was excellent during our pick up & return. I'm not sure I'll ever need to rent a refrigerated truck again, but should the occasion arise, Ryder Truck Rental will be my first choice.

They will jack up the price every time you talk to someone new and state that magically taxes and fees have changed...apparently state taxes changed 3 times in 2 weeks before I got my rental truck. I repeat, save your money and time and do not rent from this company. I even called corporate and the corporate manager (after being on hold for 30 mins) told me that I can go ahead and file a complaint against them, but according to them, it doesn't matter what an employee states or says, it's all lies and bull and they will charge you whatever they feel like.

That is except this time at this specific location. I rented a tow dolly as I have many times before. This dolly clearly had a bent wheel and was the most dangerous thing I have ever towed. Anything over 45mph felt like it was going to take my vehicle off the road. When everyone on the highway is going at least 60mph and I am doing 45 it is a clear safety hazard. But things happen in life, I get it. I made the most of it and when I returned my equipment I kindly asked for a store credit I can use for my next rental.They declined and said I must have caused the damage to the equipment. They claim the only way the trailer can vibrate is by me speeding or not using the correct ball. I could not travel at highway speeds and I am using their recommended ball from their store. The only process they had for checking the equipment for damage was, I kid you not, kicking the tires and calling it good. A bent wheel can be just a few THOUSANDTHS of an inch off and they claim they can judge that by giving it a look and kick. I asked for my receipt back and left the location. I will certainly use U-Haul again. But I will never come back to this location.

Then arrives in Florida. 65.95 month. One month there. Then have delivered to our place middle of month, with another delivery fee of 159.00. And no prorated discount for having it delivered in the middle of the month. So they definitely do not want to please the customer. It's ridiculous what these companies can get away with. Rip off. Regrets using U-Haul or Probably any moving company. KRW.
