Returned a Penske truck here after a trip from Indiana. Dropped the truck off in the Home Depot parking lot, right next to the Wal-Mart. Filled the tank at the Wal-Mart--literally the next parking lot over--right before driving it to the Home Depot, parking, and handing in the keys. Credit card statement comes and we were charged $50 extra. Called to ask why: "The gas tank wasn't full." Bullshit. I disputed it, they said they "don't have the paperwork on that anymore" and so refused to hear the dispute or even consider refunding the money. That is all not even to mention the practically non-existent shocks in the truck, the extremely uncomfortable cab, and all the other problems we had with Penske. U-Haul would have cost us more--and it would have been worth every penny. I'll never use a Penske truck again. Ever. read more

I rented a 16' Penske for a move and picked it up from Home Depot in Winchester. My suggestion is to call Penske directly to reserve and ask them if they offer discounts. I was able to apply a AAA discount and they also upgraded the truck to a model with a lift gate at no additional charge. My only criticism is the moving blankets you rent from them are too thin for what you pay for them. Overall good experience. read more

Her store was busy as most gas stations tend to be, but she's also A Uhaul location. There seemed to be an irate customer that thought she was more important than the folks (me included) already in the store. She paced and became more agitated by the second. I felt bad for the woman as she was handling her job the way she should while getting backlash from somebody who thought their time was more important than anyone else's. Sorry ma'am you did great! I just had to come and say this!

Don't give this business your time or money because Susan will try and gaslight you and make a 2-3 day move all one day so she can get as much money from you. As I stated I needed to start moving in my new place and wanted to make sure I went through as much as possible totes/boxes I could so I separated what needed to stay and what needed to go back to VA. And I contacted the person (Steve) who helped me out (not you) during this time so we could see when it would be a good time for both of us. As we all have lives and not just around fanning ourselves apparently what you do all day. So yeah I still have several empty totes that needed to be taken back to VA. So stop with your arrogance as if I'm trying to get over on you. I'm a veteran so I paid my dues and worked for everything I ever had! The movers were all friendly and introduced themselves to us, which helped us feel safe, especially with our kids around. They worked quickly, padded everything well, and worked to get our things into our new home where we wanted them, despite some challenging home angles to work around. Prior to the move we wanted to bring as much as we could in terms of house hold effects to a local storage locker. We ended up making many trips up and back during the house building process and brought a load of boxes each time. This reduced the cost we eventually had to pay movers, and was an easy way to have essential house hold items available as soon as we moved to the area. We were coming from almost 100 miles away so this was just very helpful. Elizabeth was great. Her storage rates were reasonable and as a bonus I even stored one of our cars at the facility. Every step of the way Elizabeth was just wonderfully helpful. Access to our storage was easy but the facility also has very good security. After we moved it was just really handy to have pre-positioned our must-have possessions for an easier move to our new home. I highly recommend Elizabeth and her company for your long and short term storage needs.
