Yet, there is something special about independent retailers -- and their particular emphasis on personalized service -- that Keystone Specialty Care Pharmacy has honed well. After a recent procedure, we had a prescription filled at Keystone because it was conveniently located inside the same medical building. Without belaboring the specifics, we needed an additional prescription filled that day, which would likely have conflicted with many national retail chains' "policies" on controlled substances. The pharmacist at Keystone not only understood the issue, but spent the time on the phone with our insurance provider to explain the need for an additional prescription, getting it approved without issue, and then delivering the medication to our home. We live more than 15 miles from the location. Neither the pharmacist nor store manager balked at the delivery request, insisting it was "all part of the job." I also note and appreciate it is a woman-owned, women-operated company. While we are happy with the local chain drugstore by our house, which has served us well, is conveniently located, and is reliable whenever we have a prescription needing to be filled, I would not hesitate to switch our medication needs to Keystone if ever we find ourselves in need of regular, consistent medication services. For people who regularly need prescriptions filled; take multiple medications requiring pharmacy intervention; appreciate "shopping local"; want to support women-owned businesses, or; all of the above, then Keystone fits the bill. I loved having a wonderful small pharmacy option so I hope they can get it together and go back to how they used to be. I have a few big problems with AA Pharmacy and they keep being an issue lately, unfortunately. First, they have a major issue with what they leave out spread across their counter. The last three times I was there, there were prescriptions with names of the person and names of the medicine in bags sitting right out on the same counter where you pay. Not only could I see confidential info, including about one person I knew, I also could have just taken some of the bags had I wanted to. It's so odd and they don't seem to care that confidential info is just cascading out on the same countertops where people are checking out. It seems so disorganized and careless now, which is disconcerting when I'm trusting them to manage medications for my family. Second, in the beginning, the pharmacist was always there and he was so friendly and helpful -- now there are several rude and/or inattentive people who will finish eating their sandwich before coming over to help people waiting at the register. If you have a question for a pharmacist, there often is not one there. If I ask when one will be there, they often aren't sure. I assume the prescriptions are still reviewed by a pharmacist (?!), but I have had two recent ones where they gave me the wrong amount, and both times they barely seemed to care. I'm not surprised to see all the good reviews from them are at least a year old. Sadly, the whole feeling there has changed so much and it's a huge disappointment. I've transferred away from them as of this week but I hope they improve!

I get all the same meds each month and each month I have to go out of my way and call and make sure my meds are refilled and are going to be on time and each month they are NOT. They don't have a online portal to check for yourself and the whole thing is inconvenient and annoying because they never are ready unless I call and tell them..every single month. I've stayed cuz I loved the previous owners/workers and how smooth and easy everything was but now I'm considering switching pharmacy's. The whole thing is just annoying.

I admit it takes an extra five minutes a month to go here but they have alerted my to coupons and discount codes that have saved me hundreds of dollars- maybe even thousands. They answer my questions politely and track down doctors when a refill is needed.

Then they were struggling to find the medication. My doctor sent in a 3 months script for refills to avoid this happening. They received my script 2 weeks ago and knew it was due to be filled yesterday. They are out of stock and stayed to find somewhere else. I'm assuming I'm just being blacklisted by them because they are made I've been making complaints about receiving my medication and the correct amount. My doctor told me if this happened again after sending in a 3 months script in advance, giving them ample time to order and get the meds in, to let him know. The office keeps a list of pharmacies that patients struggle getting their meds through. So sadly I'm going to have to let him know to add arbor lakes to that list. All other pharmacies are telling me they have no issues currently finding my meds. Not sure why arbor lakes struggles. I've done nothing wrong in my behalf!
