Very interesting business model. I completely understand why they are still in business, due to the current lack of alternatives. They are willing to loose a customer they have had for 4 plus years and presumably years to come, all for a service fee they don't want to credit me for. It equates to one month of service. There are not a lot of options in the "Rural Areas" when it comes to high speed Internet. For several years prior to any fiber optics being laid, it was only one company and When it was FEC communications it was definitely small town everybody knows your name. This speed in service and improved after Peoples took over. So far we have been ok with renewing under year contact with Peoples to avoid any fees when requesting to upgrade our speed. Horrible service and zero compassion or understanding. If I knew I had a product that didn't work I wouldn't make people pay full price for it. I've had 100 issues with this service and can't even get a job due to the WiFi being so horrible. They keep offering fiber optic just fail to mention it's not actually available. If you live in alba dont even bother unless you want to pay 75 a month for a cool looking wifi box. I can't even use the wifi to watch a YouTube video on my phone normally run a ping around 500 to 1100 on a good day might be 250. If you call customer support to raise your package, " we are sorry there is only one package" you cant buy up becuase there towers are full so you pay 75 for nothing but since you cant get internet anywhere else you just have to wait the 30 min for your email to load... good luck with Netflix or hulu will buffer until your kids finish college. I will say there staff is super nice in telling you sorry for your luck.. read more

I recommend getting the smallest package possible since you probably will nevrr get good service anyways. Sometimes the internet just completely stops working for a couple of hours. Almost once a day. For how this wifi actually preforms, I would never recommend it to anyone. They charge you so much for what little you actually get. read more
