Nice size stadium with plenty of seats and a great view no matter the spot. The bathrooms are located outside in the pavilion and they are disgusting. Old school urinal that looks like a giant sink. No soap or paper towels in the bathroom didn't help. The parking was conveniently located on a dirt lot outside the stadium. $10 to park and another $11 for the game ticket. Definitely worth another trip when Brown is back in New Haven.

This is a review of the Yale University athletic fields just across Central Avenue from the…read morestadium. During the 1950s, these athletic fields surrounded a complex of married student housing units. The address for this complex was 70 Central Avenue. The houses were quonset huts with corrugated metal roofs. In the summer, we threw punctured water hoses over our roof to keep it wet and to cool down the inside. Each quonset hut was divided in half, for use for two different families. The front door for each half resided at opposite sides of the quonset hut. The family occupying the other half of our quonset was the Anamunthado family from Bermuda. The inside of their home had a bad smell. My photographs show me, my mother, me and my sister at Halloween, one of my parties inside our quonset hut showing my friends from Edgewood Elementary School, and me and my sister inside the quonset hut wearing Davy Crockett hats. The athletic fields to the north were used for football practice, and I enjoyed viewing the large sleds with huge pads, where the pads were used for football players for shoving and pushing. Another athletic field was indoors, and this was an indoor polo field where students could ride horses and play polo. On a couple of occasions, I cut across the athletic field to the north on my way to school, and I crawled under the fence at the northeast corner of the field, but usually I took the sidewalk the entire way to Edgewood School. On 8/5/26 I attended the Bonamassa show at the amphitheater. I purchased the tickets by clicking…read moreon the buy tickets button on the amphitheater site, and was redirected to Ticketmaster, and I purchased two tickets. On Ticketmaster it clearly states that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. So I brought a camera with a non detachable lens. Security, after inspecting the camera, allowed me to enter with it. However in the venue, during the performance, a very polite usher told me the camera was not permitted. I showed him the website, and he contacted a supervisor at the venue. Later other employees of the venue who did not identify themselves rudely and forcefully told me I could not use the camera, and said that the Ticketmaster website is not connected to the venue ( obviously not true) . A deeper dive into the venue site reveals conflicting information. At one point it says. NO CAMERAS PERMITTED. In another spot it says that personal cameras are ok but professional equipment is not permitted and that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. My camera did not have a detachable lens.. They wanted to take the camera away from me and check it somewhere, which I refused to allow. Well ultimately I agreed not to use the camera, and from that point forward I did not. But the experience was confusing and unpleasant. The website presents conflicting information. I would like to speak directly with someone at management level but no contact phone number is listed.

We have been here 3x to see the Hartford Wolfpack hockey team play, and have had great experiences…read more We have taken the train to avoid all the hassles of the traffic and parking in Hartford ; the XL Center is a short walk from the train station. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. There are several food and beer and liquor vendors and all are overpriced, but that seems to be the norm at any large venue. Plan to eat and drink at one of the close by restaurants before your event for better quality and price. We have never had a hassle or issue and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Ticket prices for the hockey games are most reasonable. The place and the restrooms are kept clean.

Parking sucked, took crazy long to get into the parking area. It was also cash only when on their…read morewebsite it said card only which was confusing. Thankfully we had cash cause we would have been screwed otherwise after having waited an hour in line and no signs warning about it before you got to the attendants. It was $30 for parking for the show which being from NY didn't shock me too much as I've paid worse but I felt i should warn others so they are prepared. lol. The train station is right next to the arena so it would be a good alternative to avoid the parking fiasco. The bag policy is also kinda crazy? Took me forever to track down a bag that met its criteria. Also fair warning they don't allow you in with cigarettes, lighters, or anything like that. They seem crazy strict here. The concessions stand and merch section bottle necks before the show so unless you wanna stand there crowded like sardines I would recommend taking some time during a set to go grab what you want as it is much easier. Even if it does mean missing some music time. It saves you so much time, aggravation, and claustrophobia lol. Drinks are also SUPER expensive. Overall I would probably see a show here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice of venue.
