I had to place the order online but called the local store and spoke with Aaron. Aaron personally took care of creating a masterpiece balloon bouquet for this special occasion. He stayed on the line with me to place my order and was so patient and helpful, words cannot express my gratitude for this young man! Later, I found out that the hotel I had entered for the delivery was the wrong hotel. I called the store back and was able to speak with Sherry, the supervisor, who was just as kind and helpful as Aaron. She went above and beyond to make sure the delivery was successful. Great employees take their lead from their supervisors. All I can say is well done and THANK YOU!!!

As our only location for party supplies, year round costumes and a good selection of mylar…read moreballoons, I find myself here pretty frequently. The items are great, lots of choices of everything (except not gift bags, they have about 5 varieties) well laid out and easy to find specific types of party supplies. Prices are pretty reasonable although I rarely see sales here. The staff is comprised of all teenagers, no one here appears over 18 and it shows in the service. The most registers I've ever seen open is two on a busy Saturday with a line all the way back to the balloon inflating area. Plenty of staff will be walking around or straightening items but never will they open more than two registers. There is always confusion when you order mylar balloons. They are pre-purchase only and then you wander around waiting anywhere from 20--30 minutes while they are inflated. All weights cost extra. Then when you come back to check on the order, it's possible they will tell you they didn't inflate them because they weren't sure if they were paid for. Yes, this after I paid at the register and then the cashier herself walked the mylars still in their packages back to the inflation person. Wow, they must have rampant balloon thefts here. I would ditch this place for any other party store if one would just open in Peoria. Until then, I grit my teeth and prepare to waste nearly an hour here.

I say holiday because while they have tons of winter and Chrismas decorations, they seem to have conveniently left those celebrating Kwanzaa and Chanukah out in the cold ... brrrrrrr... The other aisles are arranged according to party color and theme - yes! You go there telling yourself that you are going to plan a super super bowl party and you head directly to the sports party decorations aisle to find table cloths, plastic bowls, streamers, colored chocolates, paper cups, and so much more! Party City in Bloomington, IL earns an A for fun, but a D- for multicultural/ethnic party support.

I placed an order online for a big balloon bouquet to surprise my son for his 21st birthday. The next day, I got an email stating half the order was canceled because some items were not in stock. I called and left a message for them to call me so I could change the order. Later that day, someone from the store called my son & asked what balloons he wanted. My son then called me - the surprise was blown! I talked to the manager, Susan, and she apologized profusely and went out of her way to make it right, even adding extra touches to the bouquet! It was delivered right on time - I think she even delivered it herself - and it looked great! Now that's just good customer service! I would suggest you give this store another chance, as maybe they changed management because Susan really stepped up to the plate!
