Do not take your vehicle to Pepboys in Gulf Breeze! I took my vehicle there in July 2025 cause I was having AC issues and I was told a needed a fan module and was leaking Freon which was repaired and the employee who no longer works there said that there was nothing with my compressor, well 2 months later my AC went out and I was told by Philip Weese the manager that my compressor needed replaced and I had to wait till March 2026 to have it replaced and when I took it there on 3/6/26 Phil's employee who repairs the AC unit quit and he'd have to do it himself and he referred me to another Pepboys. I took my car to Gulf Breeze Automotive and they not only said the compressor needed replaced but also the cooling fan! Phil never looked at my vehicle like he sa because if he had he would've known I needed to replace the cooling fan also! Philip Weese the manager can not seem to keep employees because they keep quitting! Stay away from Pepboys!! read more

So I took my car in to see why my check engine light was on. They took me right in as they were not busy. He told me what the issue was and that they could fix my car they just needed to call the dealer for the part to see what my estimate would be. The lady upfront said she would call me back that day. That was on a Thursday. Thursday no call, Friday no call, Saturday no call. I called them and talked to another gentleman and explained my situation and that no one has called me back like they said they would back on Thursday. No apology, no nothing. He looked up the notes in the system and he said that the girl that called the dealer sat on hold for 30 minutes and finally hung up. That is really not an excuse in my book for customer service. So he said he would call the dealer first thing Monday morning and call me back. Well, Monday passed and now its Tuesday and still no call. I am in customer service and this is as poor communication as it comes. You cannot even give these people money as their follow up is poor. Needless to say, they lost my business. I don't deal with people who over-promise and under-deliver. I don't understand why people just can't do their job anymore. The reviews look to be good. But I can tell you I won't be going back. I don't recommend Pep Boys in Gulf Breeze!!!!! read more

Best customer service I've come across is a while. My wheel had a minor chip after I had new tires mounted. I had no evidence outside of the circumstances and Phil still went out of his way to make it right. My wheel was repaired and it looks great. In addition to the great customer service, I had a great experience getting my tires at this store. I waited on the vehicle and the tires were mounted promptly. All the employees I worked with were really helpful. If you're in the market for tires and other vehicle needs I highly recommend this store. Old school customer-first customer service is hard to find these days. You won't be disappointed at this store. read more

First off the prices are outrageous here. Secondly, the manager who works at the counter likes talking down to you and assumes you have no idea what you are talking about. He also seemingly has more important matters to attend to because in the middle of your transaction he will just hop on the phone and chat it up before you can even finish the paperwork on your vehicle. The mechanic who changed my transmission fluid left his greasy fingerprints on my window and dirt in my car after he "test drove it". As soon as he pulled my car out of the garage he floored it and was gone for 10 min. DO NOT GO HERE. I hardly ever write reviews so that should tell you how bad this place is. read more

Absolutely horrible!!! I came here less than a week ago to have two tires delivered there for installation, since it was the closest location to my house. Not only did it take over an hour and a half, by the time I got home I realized that my car was not driving the same. I knew right away something was wrong and DEFINITELY with my tires, since I drive this car all the time, all day, every day, everywhere. Since I've been busy with work and school I've decided to bring my car to a place that I've been to before and never had any problems with while I visited my mother in Pensacola today. After only having to wait for less than an hour, they informed me that absolutely NONE of the tires were balanced whatsoever. SO not only did this infuriate me, but I literally JUST paid $55 to have two tires installed and "rotated and balanced" (which obviously was not done) then had to go somewhere else and pay ANOTHER $35 to get all my tires BALANCED. These people definitely lost my service and I hope anyone else that plans to go there reads this review as well beforehand. read more

These guys are great! Best prices, friendly service, and most importantly, HONESTY. I was always a dealership girl cuz I was scared to trust anyone with my baby! But yes...they work on Mercedes-Benz and I wouldn't trust anyone else. They go above and beyond, are patient, and the mechanic even shot the shit with me for a bit and showed me exactly what was wrong (and right) on my car. First off let me start by saying that the employees here are the nicest most helpful people I came across throughout my whole trip. On the way down to Pensacola beach from North Georgia my car decided to start having some issues. We stopped at many different places to have it checked out and they all figured it was bad gas in my tank. 3 different types of fuel cleaner later I took my car to Pep Boys and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The employees were super nice and very helpful with explaining things for me as I don't know very much at all about cars. Turns out it was the axels I had just had replaced. Place is a rip off don't go there if u have no mechanic knowledge they will stick it to u. You will pay to get parts replaced that don't need to be replaced. They blind u with being really nice. Went to get a brake line replaced it was leaking, they telling me that all 4 needs to be replaced. Why? If it's not leaking why replace it???? Maybe we will brake it while replacing one that leaking. U know I understand accidentally damage one but all 4??? Common now. Never again. Take your car else where. read more

Bad customer service. Went in twice today to get an oil change and tire rotation but was turned away both times. First time was around 1 on a Wednesday afternoon and was told to come back around 5 because they were too busy. I completely understood and gave the guy my information thinking when I came back they would have no problem getting me in. When I came back (around 4:50 because I'm usually early for things) was told by the manager at the counter that he could "try to squeeze me in" but had three other oil changes in front of me! Haven't ever had a problem with pep boys before, but definitely will not be back to this one. read more
