Quality of customer service has gone down at this location, since about 6-7 months ago. Previous manager made the experience friendly and welcoming. Current management staff is curt and discourteous. Bad experiences started around 6-7 months ago. I had brought a vehicle in for a repair, I was called and told it was ready for pickup. Right before I arrived I was called again to tell me that my transmission was dropped, but it was fine. When I came to get it, I had to sign a paper stating that I was accepting the repair and damages as is without looking at the vehicle. The check engine light came on before I left the parking lot. I took it to another repair shop, to discover there was damage from the transmission being dropped and once that was fixed, car was fixed. I have brought two other cars since that incident for basic oil changes and the customer atmosphere has changed dramatically. I would no longer recommend this location. read more

Express Oil Change and Tires in Navarre is excellent! I enjoy going to this location for the mechanic side. I visited today for an oil change and it was very nice! I used to prefer the FWB location bcs their service is exceptional, but today I was helped by Ruben and he was very clear and concise with his communication and offered great customer service! From now on, I will probably come back here for both my oil change and mechanic needs! I enjoy being able to sit in my car and watch them do everything for my oil change for efficiently and quickly. I will never bring my car here again. The last time I took my car in for an oil change, the mechanic showed me an air filter that needed to be changed. Only a couple of months later I took my car to Navarre auto shop to get something checked and during their inspection they found an air filter that had not been changed for months. During my oil change in February they mentioned I would need to get my rear brake pads replaced soon. Like all vehicle expenses I let it slip, road trip coming up I made the appointment. Not looking forward to the potential $350-$500 expense, but who would?! Here I am at my appointment today, the gentleman comes in and says "Ma'am, your brake pads are good. Sometimes we can't see the full pad until the tire is removed, but you are good to go" and he proceeded to show me. Not only did he not take advantage of me (a woman), but he was honest and showed integrity. I can't thank this team enough for keeping my families vehicles running and in excellent condition to keep my family safe. We will continue doing business with Express, and I highly recommend them. This review would of received 1 star, however, Wess the location manager did a fine job being a a genuine human being and a great manager. The one star is really because of she shop manager, Levy. He's a passive aggressive person with his "yes, sirs" that come from anything but trying to be helpful, understanding and especially caring to the customer. I really think this person isn't fit to be in his position as shop manager because the smallest amount of friction will surface this persons passive aggressiveness (petty as well, very), and will show you that he indeed doesnt really understand that managing shop isn't just about managing vehicles and bad quotes, however, it's a people's business as well. People drive cars... Anyhow, I brought my wife's Jeep to this location for an oil change, I asked to speak to someone about an oil leak. Enter Zane (very nice guy), He recommended a safety inspection along with checking out the oil leak. I said sure and we scheduled a day. Time to pick up the car and get my report on the shops findings. Oil leak was from two spots and they recommended brakes and rotors all around (upsell) - I agreed to it all and the price. Almost $2,0000. I drop of the car at a later date, shook hands with Levy and walked out. Enter customer care super star Levy, calling me with some info on a Saturday. I didn't pick up. I was off from work and don't answer unknown numbers - I'd say that's normal for any working person that enjoys his weekends with family. Levy didn't like this, he tried to use that against me during our call because of the massive mistake that just happened. What was the mistake? Levy called to tell me that he changed the brakes and rotors - everything went good he said. BUT... We aren't going to do the oil leaks. Huh? Why?? You inspected the car, I agreed to all terms of the quote and dropped it off and shook your hand, like men. Levy explains - yea, but when we actually got down there and wiped the oil to start the work we realized that it's very rusty, so he wasn't planning on having any honor and continuing the work because they missed that during the time they took to check out the oil leak. So what if it's rusty to those that might not understand? In the mechanic world, rust is evil. It's makes things a lot harder to manage and makes parts harder to take off and put on because things might break. Levy didn't want that beef, so he said, take the Jeep back and pay for the brakes/rotors (almost $1000 if you round up) and I'll give $150 off. You'd think that's nice of him, right? However, the job isn't complete, who are you to tell me that I have to pay for half the job and respect my portion of our agreement, but you get to skate away? Haha. No no, my friend. That's not how it works, I explained. He didn't like it and threw in my face that I didn't pick up on my Saturday (day off) so he continued anyways with what he felt like doing. Doesn't sound so professional, now does it? I told levy that I'll have to go figure out another way because he absolutely won't have his way. Also, not to mention, I asked for a manager and he said he is the manager, however, hid that there was a location manager (Wess). I called corporate and had to get on a few phone calls to finally get to Wess calling me. Wess was incredible. He actually listened. He actually genuinely cared. He actually took action and was extremely polite. Wess absolutely is a person fit for location manager. Thank you my friend for helping me. He ended up honoring the quote that Levy dishonored and did the work. I want to make sure to all the google review readers, I would definitely come back here because of people like Wess and Zane. There are few other folks that handled my oil change that were also excellent, I don't recall all of their names. I'll be coming back for oil changes and work on my other vehicles and don't mind dealing with Levy either now I know what to expect. read more

Had Multiple encounters with this shop, ripped me off multiple times, each time I got quotes as well and not one time did their quotes come out to what I actually had to pay out of pocket, super inconvenient for someone who wants to take care of the only transportation that they have and super tight financially. Not to mention had to get rescheduled for another day because they failed to put in their system what they had told me on the phone when I made my appointment and got a quote on the entire job. They are untrustworthy people just looking to milk you for money. Wouldn't recommend this location at least, maybe there are some good Express shops out there but for sure not going back! read more

Wow! I called another oil/tire auto repair location that had more reviews with 4 starts. The phone call to the other place was not bad but they required an appointment to check or change my sensor on my tire. I decided to call Express oil change & tire engine. First off much friendlier, welcoming conversation and didn't require an appointment with set clear expectations which I can appreciate. Along with Pricing options over the phone and again clear based upon inspection. When I arrived Marlo came out to great me as I parked and guided me upon my needs. Marlo and entire staff is super friendly, professional and polite. Most importantly Marlo and team work well together, I noticed he would call out stuff on inspection as others did as well. Their communication and understanding makes them crazy in sync and efficient. I've never noticed or seen this anywhere when getting my oil change. I had a mixed experience here. Took my FJ cruiser for an oil change. The downside is it's kind of expensive. The upside, however, is the service is great and everyone is super friendly. They were not able to get my oil filter off and rather than try to muscle it and break it suggested I take it to Toyota. I appreciated the honesty. They topped off my fluids and didn't charge me anything. If I couldn't get to the Toyota dealer, I would trust them with my vehicle. read more

I noticed my tire had picked up a nail and so I called to request pricing for repair or mounting and balancing a tire since I already had a new tire. I was quoted $40 to repair if possible and if not possible $30 to mount and balance a new tire. I scheduled a time later in the day. Upon arrival a few minutes ahead of the time I was given, I waited at least 15 minutes after my scheduled time before anyone showed up to help me. At that point, I filled out the paperwork and directed the service manager to the tire that had the nail and told him the new tire was in the hatchback if they could not repair it. About 10 minutes later, a technician came in and told me they would be unable to repair the tire and gave me a quote for a new tire. The mount and balance on the quote amounted to a little I've $25 so it seemed consistent with what I was quoted on the phone. I told the tech that I didn't need a tire, just mount and balance the one in the hatchback. He asked if it was a new tire and i replied that it was. He headed back to the garage. About an hour later, the tech pulled my car to the front and came in to settle up. He presented me a bill for $40 plus tax, so I inquired why it was more than what was quoted on the phone and in writing. He said the mount and balance was a flat rate of $40. I told him I was quoted $30 on the phone and he said that was for repair but they couldn't repair it so the mount and balance was $40 plus tax. I pointed out that the quote for mounting and balancing the tire he offered me earlier was around $25 and pointed to their written quote. He said that only applied to a tire they sold me and since I brought my own tire it was $40. None of this was disclosed prior to the work. I paid the bill and left. A mile or so down the road, the TPMS warned me of low tire pressure. I was returned to the shop and was told I had to reset the TPMS myself. Considering I had to wait an hour and a half to get one tire mounted, was overcharged 33% more than quoted, and then they didn't bother to reset the TOMS as part of the service, I can't recommend this business. I have had four tires mounted and balanced in less time than it took to mount one here and paid less for mounting and balancing all four tires. That said, the people I dealt were courteous and the waiting area was clean. But no, I won't be back. read more

I went into the Navarre location to get my brake pads replaced and the mechanic tried to get me to replace the rotors also, but the rotors didn't need to be replaced. When i told him all i want was the brake pads replaced he turned me away (denied me service) As a customer based business this location FAILED the community. I'm glad I went here! Was a few weeks overdue for an oil change and I went with my 2 year old daughter (usually not an easy feat). I didn't think I'd be in an out as quickly as I was, though. The employees were great, not pushy like other places how they make you feel your car will blow up if you don't get a service they recommend. Dishonest mechanic who are just trying to scam you. I went in to get an alignment. Was told my camber bolts were stripped and that they wouldn't be able to complete the alignment without replacing them and that it would cost me close to $500 dollars to replace. The way I was talked to and the way it was explained didn't sound right. Me being a female, I knew that the possibility of being lied to was fair. Decided to get a second opinion from Firestone. They said my camber bolts were perfectly fine and that they could easily do the alignment. So disappointed in the mechanics here, they were great at changing my oil and were honest and efficient but I guess it's not consistent across all their mechanics. read more

I've never been to an Express Oil Change, didnt know how any of their etiquette or how they did oil changes. I pulled into a parking spot, Jaime walked over to my car, was really nice and directed me into the car bay.Everyone was very kind and helpful, they even washed my windshield prior to doing the oil change.
