Great Experience. I was stressed out about my car and everywhere in town was booked out at least a week. They took me the next day. Fixed the problem. Quoted $300-1500(granted this was before looking at the problem so just a guess) all over town and Pepp motors was transparent and my total was $150. I drove away and something felt off. I called back and they immediately said to bring it back and they would take another look. They found the issue and fixed it, then took it for a drive before letting me drive away. HAVE THE USED VEHICLES INSPECTED BY A THIRD PARTY. Found a broken sway bar link in the rear and they refused to fix it or lower the price. If I hadn't had the vehicle inspected they would have sold it to me like this. Scummy and disappointing from a local business. read more

Really sad to see the quality of work now since Brian retired and sold shop. Been going to them for nearly 2 decades. However, last visit the problem not solved in spite of a big bill and the interior reeked of tobacco smoke. Took a couple of weeks to get rid of it. Can't see going back.... read more

Mixed bag of service with these guys. Had a good experience with repairs to my son's car, and then had some clearly subpar work performed on my car a few weeks after, which included forgetting a bolt that attaches the steering knuckle to the wheel bearing and under-tightening suspension components that ruined the new parts they installed. When presented with an opportunity to do something (anything) to make it right, they declined. I will probably not be back. read more

UPDATE: Went to Pepp to discuss the issue- they said there was nothing they could do as I was supposed to have completed an online check in when I returned the equipment (news to me). Called U-Haul and was able to get a refund after emailing them the picture of the equipment returned on time. Seriously, please save yourself the headache and stay away from this place. Rented a Uhaul from Pepp for 24 hours. I rented it on Friday and had to return it Saturday by the same time. I returned it a few hours earlier than I had to, however they were closed (not a big deal). I took a picture of the returned Uhaul in their lot, just in case there was question as to the validity of it being returned on time. The following week I found I was charged for an extra two days. I called them to sort it out, left a message but received no return call. I disputed it on my card and they claimed that I didn't return it until Monday. I'm in the process of disputing this again, this time sending the timestamped picture in of the returned uhaul. Disappointed in their lack of communication and attempts to make some extra cash. Very untrustworthy dealer. I bought a Subaru from them for over $6,000. It had a rebuilt engine (which I was skeptical of), but they assured me that they built it themselves and if anything happened within the first few months, they would take care of it. Well, after two weeks, the check engine light came on. I brought it to them, and they cleared it, saying it was no big deal. Two weeks later, I made a trip downstate and was stranded on the side of the road for four hours after the engine misfired and the car stalled out. I brought it to the closest mechanic, and then had it towed to Pepp from there. Pepp then claimed that they were not responsible because "the car overheated due to 'low coolant levels'" (saying that it was my fault). However, I have documentation from the first mechanic I took it to that all the fluid levels were normal. I tried working with them for a long time, and all they could offer me was $200 to buy it back. There were rude and careless from the beginning, and it should've been obvious not to buy from them (but I was desperate and needed a useful car fast). I'm now carless, with no savings, and no way to move to Washington for work/school like I was supposed to. If you know what's good for you, go somewhere else. read more

These guys are great to work with. They are very honest, and I have never felt like they have tried to "upsell" me on service repairs. If something NEEDS to be replaced/fixed, they will tell you. If something might need to be replaced shortly down the road, they will tell you that and give you the option to have it replaced while its there. I trust this shop with all my vehicles. read more

Very dishonest dealer. I bought a used Subaru from them for about $6000. I test drove it and it seemed good and I committed to buying it. They were advertising it as having "all the updates". After I sealed the deal (had to haggle and still pay OVER BOOK price) and got it home I found a giant puddle of water in the back. I called the salesman and found out that the water should have been cleaned up because it was from a leak that they patched and conveniently never told me about. Over the next couple of weeks the car continued to leak water and luckily they fixed the leak for free after i got my interior wet several times. Meanwhile still within 30 days, my brakes we're acting up and getting worse by the day and the check engine light had lit up a FEW DAYS after I got it home (faulty catalytic converter assembly which is not cheap to fix). I was told by the sales man that it was just rust on the rotors and would wear off at the time of the sale so I had nothing try worry about. So I replaced them on my own thinking it would just be pads and rotors and found that a caliper on the front had been seized up and not functioning correctly since the day I bought it. As soon as the brakes were fixed, a squealing noise started coming from under the hood this turned out to be a loose serpentine belt that had been that way since I drove it off their lot too. I went to the office and spoke to who I believe is the owner and I was told that since they don't have a crystal ball they cannot see these problems coming with used cars and that I was welcome to bring it back and they could work on it and maybe charge me some money for parts or maybe not. I was told that since I replaced the brakes myself that I was out of luck even though they were unsafe the day they were sold to me. The explanation for that was that they just do not inspect the cars well enough when they sell them to know if the brakes were unsafe. I would never recommend buying a car from this dealer because I do not believe that they check their cars over well at all before they sell them. I would never trust them to work on my car if this is how they do business. read more

The service manager here sold me a car that had problems that had been deliberately hidden. There were small leaks near the head of the engine that had been sprayed with silicon and then a small oil build up had been diverted using a small tube to a different location to make the oil leak less noticeable and appear less serious. The things done were very temporary ways to hide the cars problems to sell it and also very dangerous for the long term health of the car if they had not been fixed. After confronting him about the problems he acted oblivious to them even through they had just fixed the timing belt which was right by the silicon and tube diverting the oil. This is not the type of management I would ever buy a car from or let work on my car. read more

Bought a Subaru Legacy for about $7,000 out the door. Within 30 miles of leaving the dealership the "check engine" light comes on. They insist the light was caused by "the recent cold weather" and clear the light. Three days later the light comes back on. This time they swap a sensor, which they charged me for. Four days later, the check engine light is back on. I'm not sure if this was malicious or just out-right incompetence, but I assure you I will not be doing business with them again. read more
