This is a bar, restaurant and gas station by Pequaywan Lake, MN. It's a bit on the rough side but tables are new and it's also clean. They have a nice beer selection and tHe food is really good bar food. We did the combo platter with jalapeño poppers, onion rings and sweet potato fries. All three were very good! Next I had the mushroom Swiss. Burger with sautéed jalapeños. It didn't last very long. A great bun, good burger, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and nice jalapeños. Nice! My SO had a southwest burger and she liked hers as much as I liked mine. Great food for such an outta the way place! read more

Clean and a very nice atmosphere. Bar and wait staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The tap beer selection was, imo, very good. Good food and specials, however, since I am vegetarian (no fur, no feathers) my only request is to see a few more meatless entrees and side options on the menu. read more

Great experience with the entire inn rented by girlfriends. With only 2 bathrooms we needed to consider others but it worked well.

We came on a busy Friday night, hoping for walleye, but they were unfortunately out. (Which was our fault; we should've made reservations.) I ended up having the 5 piece shrimp with baked potato and coleslaw; my husband had the steak, fries, and coleslaw; 4 others at our table had burgers/sandwiches with various forms of potatoes. For as busy as they were, the service was fast, and the food was great! We will be returning to get the walleye next month, but with reservations ;) read more

We're locals and come here quite a bit. New owners have been great! Prime rib is great on saturdays and even better if you can get a left over prime rib sandwich's the next day (sundays) yummmm! Fish fry fridays are popular. Drinks are cold, and rest of the menu is your normal bar fare but overall good for being this deep into the woods! read more

This is more of a bar and restaurant than a hotel. Food has improved greatly recently. The prime rib on Saturday nights is especially good.

Highly recommended! We stopped there on a Sunday afternoon, and was surprised with how close to the main road this is. Google map makes you think you have to drive down a side road, but no, the location is right on the main road. We drove right by it, had to decide we missed it, turned around, asked a walker where it was, then eventually found it. That's ok, it's easy to get to, and the restaurant was a treat. It's a combo bar restaurant and the seating for eating is comfy. The building obviously has some age on it, and the stone wall construction is much to appreciate. They've done a good job of updating all the interior, it looks great. The food we had, the special for the day, was excellent. Their menu looks small but contains a lot, and best of all they have a 'special' each day all week long. And then the courtesy of the young man waiting on us was the best. He did go out of his way to make certain we were well taken care of and did it with appropriate table visits.
