Terrible. this is a scam. Do not buy , you have been warmed. I bought a hoody (65 bucks) medium. It is not a quality hoody but then for $60 bucks I do not expect much. I received it very late (problem with warehouse) . It is way way too big. I asked for a return and I got an explanation below for the return: Returns are possible in certain cases, but I'd like to be transparent about the process. Due to our international fulfillment setup and sustainability-focused policy, returns involve multiple steps and can be quite time-consuming and costly. They offered me a 20% return (because I'm not going to pay for freight to china). Also cannot find a way to write a review on their site. So now I have a brick hoody. It bothers me to write this updated review after having a nice few years shopping here with great customer service. Each time we buy something I ask about the return policy in case we have an issue with any equipment. Skates have 30, 60, or 90 day depending on the manufacturer, no problem with those to date. We have purchased about a dozen sticks from them and they always say to us; "If you have any issues within 30 days, just bring it back to us to swap it out." We have never had any issues until we purchased this last stick, Warrior Sr. (Right Hand 75 Flex). We bought the stick last week and after 3 games the stick had delaminated at the curve and on a slap shot last week, our son plays defense, the head had completely separated from the stick. We thought it would be no problem to bring it back in and get it swapped out. We were seriously wrong, we got told by three people there we would have to go through Warrior to get the warranty. I even brought up what they told me and they said that they were sorry and this is the way we would get it handled. Very poor customer service and I highly doubt we will be coming back for any further equipment, which is terrible because it's one of the only stores in the Columbus Area. read more

Staff, without hesitation said skates still in decent condition and no need for new blades. No deceptive tactics to sell us new skates. Appreciate the honesty and their opinions. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Korey was the only person working. Talk about an amazing guy. Even though the store had multiple people, he still took the time to help each and every person there. I was really excited for Columbus to be getting a Perani's, since I grew up playing hockey in Cleveland and heading up to Detroit and Canada to get hockey equipment. Columbus has really only had the Hockey Stop and the small pro shops at the Chillers, but now that hockey has been getting so big in the area, this is a much needed addition to the city. I got a chance to get in here today, and they have a great selection of equipment, especially sticks. They also had a good amount of goalie equipment as well. I think once they get an idea of the area, they'll be able to better adapt their inventory to the players' needs. I saw they also carry some lacrosse equipment, so that's a good thing to keep in mind for people looking for options other than Dick's. I didn't get anything to do, but I'll definitely be back to upgrade my equipment. read more

Recently I went to the store in Columbus to get a pair of skates for my grandson. He plays for the Columbus AAA Blue Jackets U15 team. His feet are different sizes so we decided on the My Bauer custom skates. He got to choose the eyelets, tongue, blades etc. In the advertisement for these skates it noted that the players name and number would be in the tongue of the skate. The Perani employee stated that it couldn't he put on the tongue he chose. He was all right with that and we ordered the skates. When they came in Erik 9 was on the tongue. First name was right but the number was wrong. Perani said they would contact Bauer to see what could be done. A couple days later they called and said that patches would be sent to the store with the correct name and number. They expected them in a few days. It took three weeks to finally get the patches and get them installed on the skates. I complained about the wait and Matt Walker of Perani's and his Bauer rep got involved and took care of the problem. My grandson loves his new skates!! read more

As our child is getting into hockey we have checked out almost all the stores in the area that sell hockey equipment, clothing, etc. I have to admit, I'm surprised that this is really the "only" hockey shop and that the competition is slim to none. We were thankful they had younger children items so we could try items on and that they employees treated our daughter like a valued customer. Prices seemed reasonable as I took some pictures of items and later looked them up. Not bad for in town. read more

I stopped here for my first and last time. I previously have visited the OSU pro shop, Hockey stop (now out of business), and players bench (bow out of business) around the columbus area and have always had a great experience. I stoped in to get the cowlings (skate holder and runner) changed on my goalie skates. I walked in and saw 3-4 gentlemen sitting at the front desk texting on their phones. I asked to get my cowlings repacked and the gentleman I approached seemed extremely annoyed that I even asked to get service. He told me he's the only one that can do it and that he would be going out of town in a few days (which seemed like he was trying to give me an excuse to not do it). After a short talk, he took my skates in the back and said it would take approximately 15-20 minutes. No problem, so I looked around the store. During this time, the rest of the employees continued to stay at the counter and text. About 15-20 minutes later, I asked for a status update and the gentleman promising to fix my skates, was up at the register texting on his phone and had not started my repair. 2-3 more times he went back and fourth between the register area texting and going into the back to presumably work on my skates. After nearly 90 minutes, my skates were finished and the craftsmanship left much to be desired. The cowlings were not centered. Worst of all, I asked for the steel to be sharpened...boy was that a joke... I went to my adult league game earlier tonight and literally couldn't even stand on the ice without sliding. There's NO WAY this guy knew what he was doing with a skate sharpening machine. I took my skates to the Easton Ice rink counter and they said my skates were in such poor shape that they would sharpen them for free. The Easton staff even admitted that this is NOT the first time they've had issues with people from Peranis sharpening skates poorly. All in all, this place should be avoided unless you want awful service accompanied by a staff sitting at the counter texting their friends. read more

Came in during the holidays with a new skater to buy him skates and we waited 25 minutes before we could get assistance trying them on. We were treated like we were an inconvenience to what they were trying to get done that day. I came in today to buy new goalie skates for myself went straight to the skate area and waited 15 minutes and not one employee came to offer assistance so I walked out. I will no longer be shopping at Perrani's and I will have to do the online shopping as much as I hate it. It's too bad they are the only hockey store in central Ohio. read more

I moved here from CA so I didn't expect to get skates sharpened for $5. In CA, it's over $12. Also they provided great service.

Huge shout out to Brian, the friendly & helpful gentleman who helped us purchase goalie pads for our son. Not only was he knowledgeable & patient with us as we tried out several different types of pads, he also went above and beyond when we realized we had accidentally left our credit card behind at the store. Great store with outstanding staff! Like another reviewer mentioned, it's nice to not have to travel up to Michigan or Cleveland for good equipment that is fairly priced. There are so many options at all price points here. And, they have sales throughout the year. My son was looking for a new stick and the salesman spent a lot of time helping us find the one that would work the best. The store was busy, but he made sure we were getting the help we needed. I also watched him behave very politely to all the other customers who were waiting.
