do not i repeat do no go to this place. i bought a pair of 279 dlr matterhorn pull on boots a month ago they were supposed to be waterproof and last thursday my socks were soaked from stepping in water. i took them back and wanted to exchange them for another pair and they did a leak test and the leak test failed. the owner argued with me telling me they were not the same boot because "they had to much wear on them. when fact they were the same boot and would only offer me 50% off another pair.so do not waste your time and money going to this dump. the response the owner made on the google review was fals. ther were no threats made . the owner is a liar and a crook read more

As much as I wish I could say I recommend these guys still sadly I do not. I bought a pair of boots advertised as waterproof with a stitch soul from Carolina. Chad said they have been selling the boot for a very long time so I trusted it. I have also bought another pair of boots from here before which were so incredibly uncomfortable, but I chalked that up as not the sellers's fault but the maker of the boots fault this time after a number of days with wet socks I decided to bring the boots back because they are backed by three month water guarantee (had the boots around a month). After dropping them off for the water test, they called me and said there was no moisture, It was my feet sweating so the older guy in here proceeds to tell me that I need an insulated boot and a wool sock which to me makes no sense why would I need another thermal barrier if my feet are sweating so much to make me think that water is leaking into my boots? He told me I have no common sense got very rude and disrespectful with me on the phone and I absolutely will not be shopping with these guys again. He told me the water test was ran with my boots in a bucket of water with a piece of paper in them to me that is not even comparable to the simulation of a job site. He told me I was an idiot and he has been doing the stuff so long that I should just take his word for it. Absolutely horrible business. read more

Quite literally the worst boot store I've ever walked into. The guy who walks around and helps is nice, but the man who barks orders (I would assume Roger based off of replies to the bad reviews) ruins everything. Dark, dingy, and crowded and the attitude makes it even worse. Unprofessional and rude. The middle aged man behind the counter sized my feet, even though I stated I was a 10.5. I'm actually a 9, and grateful for the passion of the trade by these guys. Not only do they have boots, but belts, chaps, hats, all kinds of other gear for bikers and more. I'd note that this isn't just ZZ Boots, it's ZZ Boots + Wild Man's Leather & Lace... so the cashier area is in the lingerie section. You might leave younger kids in the car while checking out. I've never seen anything pornographic there, but it's definitely in the sexy outfit/lube kind of category, which might shock the prudish. Don't let this deter you. The changing room has old lingerie models cut out and taped to the wall and a black light for a little something special but it's all about finding a pair of boots or shoes that fit and they have them. A guy I'm assuming the manager or owner told us to get out of the aisle and no one was allowed down that aisle and the fire department would shut him down if they saw us in that aisle. It was because the boxes of boots were stacked almost to the ceiling and if the boxes fell down it would be an avalanche. Called ahead for a black felt, flat top western hat for a birthday gift. When I went to pick it up, Mr. showed me a cab driver hat, so I showed him a picture of the style I wanted. I notice he wasn't wearing a mask but I had mine on and would social distance. He then walked me to the only black felt hat they had in the store. It was black with a pinched front and a leather band around it. Not exactly the style but I decided to go with it since I needed it the next day. We walked to his register to ring it up. I noticed there was 2 white stains on the band and asked Mr. if he can take any off for it. He said no, took the hat turned his back to me. When he handed it back, the stains were gone. As I looked closer, I noticed a gray smudge near the front and made him aware of that as well. He took the hat, licked his thumb, wiped off the smudge and handed it back to me. I told him I needed to make a phone call about it and went to my car. I left after calling another store that had the hat. I don't recommend this store until we are out of the pandemic. Horrible service! I've bought boots there since I was a teen. Some 20 years of patronage. I took my daughter there and bought her a pair of boots. The sole came off of the boots the first day she wore them to school! I drove 45 minutes to the store w the receipt, box and boots. They refused to return them! They tried to say that my daughter caused it. Ummm, no! A brand new pair of boots shouldn't fall apart in one wearing. I just wanted to return them. Finally they offered for me to leave them so the boss could look at them. Or I could come back in 3 hours. Leave the boots and leave w/o a refund? I don't think so. Then they offered to "fix" them.
