After having issues with our prior wedding planner, 4 weeks before our wedding we reached out to Percy, to our fortune, he was available and so happy to help us. Since we hired him, everything ran SO smoothly, he took over immediately and within 24 hours all the vendors were notified and we had a timeline in place. After a day of having him as our official planner, I knew things were going to be great and my stress disappeared. Not only is Percy very organized he also has the best taste! In planning our big day, we had the unique and challenging situation of using a dual-function venue -- that is, the ceremony and reception would both take place in a single courtyard! Percy was not only well-versed in planning such an event but also extremely knowledgeable about our particular venue and its layout. Two pieces of ribbon functioned perfectly as a makeshift aisle through the dinner tables, and the dance floor became an ideal spot for the buffet until it was time to get up and groove. It worked flawlessly! We had thought we had it all figured out when we arrived at our initial consultation, yet Percy pointed out many organizational issues that we never would have caught ourselves! He was full of ideas and offered creative and educated insight into every detail, especially the crowd favorite: personalized homemade salsa souvenirs that also functioned as guests' seating arrangement indicator (with their name and table # printed on the top). We should have hired Percy earlier in the planning of our daughter's wedding. We had contracted with some vendors already, but every vendor Percy recommended was reasonable, easy to work with and extremely professional. He always advocated for our best interest and respected our budget limits, even if some of our original vendors did not. Don't be fooled. Percy is very even-tempered, but he won't let preying vendors get away with it. Percy is creative, patient, honest and kind. He introduced ideas, elements and vendors we'd never heard of and gave our daughter the wedding of her dreams. No kidding. The wedding was foremost in my thoughts for over a year and communication with your planner is important. He arranged hotels for out-of-town guests, a rental house for the groomsmen (cheaper than a hotel) and worked with me on the little details. He was patient with me and my to-do lists, which were more for my benefit than his. By the time we got the timeline (several pages) I could see that he had included everything I could think of and more. He arranged for the photographers and videographer to take pictures of the bride and groom as they prepared. Since they were miles apart, I didn't think it was possible and didn't even suggest it. His incredible talent was on full display (to us) on the wedding day. He communicated with every vendor so they knew where to be and when, with the timeline he developed. There was so much to coordinate before we even arrived at the venue, but, as it turned out, it was the first day I could actually relax. He had it all taken care of. The ceremony and reception were so well choreographed by Percy and our DJ, Gavin Roy, that it almost seemed like a movie. And yet, none of us felt hurried or herded and all we had to do was enjoy it. I don't even know where to begin. Percy made my wedding dreams come true. And I know that sounds totally cliche. I booked his Jade Package which is only 'week-of' coordinating, but Percy was in touch with me for the entire six months of my engagement and was the only reason I kept my sanity. He has an amazing vendor list that he shares with his clients. This was very helpful for me since my husband and I had an intercultural and interfaith wedding, and I had no idea how to find Indian wedding vendors in the Santa Barbara area. Percy found vendors within my budget who were just great. The entire wedding day ran smoothly and on-time. We had such a jam-packed day because of the two ceremonies, and we were very worried about logistics, but Percy made sure that everything ran on-time, and we were actually able to start the reception a few minutes early so that there was more time for dancing and partying at the end. From the moment my Mom and I met Percy, we knew that we wanted to hire him. He immediately treated us like life-long friends and was enthusiastic to hear about my engagement and what I envisioned for my wedding. From the very first meeting, he was already coming up with design ideas and ways to reduce costs while maintaining the style and ambiance we wanted for our special day. The planning process with Percy was a breeze. Or at least he made it seem that way. To give you a little background, I had to move cross-country to Boston for my graduate nursing program 9 months before the wedding!!! Nonetheless, planning a wedding from Boston while in school was difficult at times, but Percy made it possible. I would have lost my sanity (and so would have my Mom) if we didn't have him and his expertise. He has that take-control mentality and is not afraid to speak his mind. This is actually one of Percy's many great qualities. He is so honest and doesn't hesitate to tell a vendor he doesn't like something or if he believes something is unfair.
