This is a long review - Cliff notes version - Fantastic service!!…read more A leak from our irrigation system allowed water to enter through a vent in the foundation and into the crawl space. There is moisture down the wall under the vent, and some dirt that was forced down there by the water pressure on the flower bed. We weren't sure how bad the damage was, and tried to help dry the crawl space by putting a small fan down there. But, I thought we'd better call someone who knows how to evaluate the damage and make suggestions and/or repair the damage. So we called Beacon. Rich answered the phone and arranged for us to get a visit from him that very afternoon. I was out of the house, but my son (38) was there when Rich came out. My son was very impressed with Rich's willingness to go down into the crawlspace and evaluate the issues. He said Rich was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Not only that, he was ethical enough to tell my son that because the irrigation issue was fixed, and there was really no damage that needed fixing, all was being taken care of well enough. I had imagined that he would be saying that he needed to put holes in the wall and bring giant fans to allow everything to dry, costing an arm and a leg, but instead, he came and gave us a no-cost evaluation and recommended we keep doing what we were doing (just a household fan and a little clean-up). When a Costco refrigerator delivery exposed a water leak in the refrigerator line, it became an emergency situation because the refrigerator couldn't be installed until the leak was fixed. Jesse came right out, handled the repair quickly and professionally, and did not charge an emergency fee. While he was there, he also found and repaired a leak to the dishwasher at a very fair price and even fixed a leaking tub issue at no charge, which really speaks to his integrity. More recently, when my water softener started having issues, Jesse stopped by just to turn it off so it would stop recycling -- again with no service charge. He later installed a brand-new water softener, with excellent workmanship, very reasonable pricing, and his usual friendly, easygoing personality. It's rare to find someone who is skilled, honest, responsive, and genuinely kind. Jesse is all of that. When the technician was here, he found something that required repair brining the total bill to $258. Fair enough. Three weeks later, my AC stopped working. So I called Legends Mechanical - the original installer of the unit. Within minutes, the Legends technician pointed out that the condenser was very dirty and the condensation drain was clogged. Both of these items were listed on Perfect Plumbing's invoice as items they did. Clearly they didn't. Stick with a reputable company. Pricing and work not established. Requested itemized estimate for work from office. I was told they don't do that until job completed. I will never use them again Yes our heating system is working 2 days later2866. Paid I still want to know what was charged itemized. I don't think they will do it. The company wants to sell not repair...that's my impression We paid now I want to know what I paid for. Hopefully they will give me honest information.
