Honesty integrity professionalism! Furnace went out. We called them. First thing was told your system is old you need a new one! Pricing and work was not established prior to work. Pricing and work not established. Requested itemized estimate for work from office. I was told they don't do that until job completed. I will never use them again Yes our heating system is working 2 days later2866. Paid I still want to know what was charged itemized. I don't think they will do it. I had them out today for a summer HVAC tune-up and inspection. I saw a great offer on TV, but I won't mention the price because I'm sure it changes. I called and was offered an appointment the next day! You'll need to provide the details of the deal when you call because they have several going at the same time. I received a text message introducing my technician when he was on his way. Preston A. showed up with a big smile and laid out a mat on my front porch. He explained what to expect and got right to work. While he was working, I asked him a dozen questions, and with a ton of personality, he took the time to answer each one. If an explanation was needed, he provided it. After replacing the air filter and closing everything up, he offered a coupon for a free tune-up in the fall! I'm sure this isn't always the case, but what great customer service! There were no big upsells, and the price was as advertised. It's nice to get what you expect these days because every company seems to be trying to upsell everything and get you to buy things you don't need. These guys were exactly as advertised and did a great job. I'll definitely be using them in the future. read more

We scheduled an appointment and they were instructed to call my husband which they did to both reschedule the original appointment and to let him know they were on their way to the home. However, the technician called me the wife when it came to discussing money. He stated tenant told him to call me. The tenant denied this and the technician should not listen to a tenant anyways but to our instructions for contacts. Then the technician explained how he was going to rebuild our entire underneath sink area and noted several issues at a cost of nearly $1200 and yet stated it would take him 2 hours or less to complete the job. My husband owns a handyman and construction business but we live a few hours away from the rental home which is why we called out a plumber or he would have fixed it himself. My husband immediately knew this quote was ridiculous and completely out of line. They use a "book" to determine fees which leads to overinflated prices. People who don't know are being ripped off by this company. We had another company come out thereafter and fixed the leak for $135 including parts!!!! Do your due diligence before hiring this company. I'm confident that the technician called me to discuss the repairs and cost because I am a woman and he didn't think I would know any better. Otherwise he would have called my husband like instructed. Surprise! I know better. read more

I had Express Plumbing Heating & Air come to do a annual maintenance and inspection of my heating system. They showed up on time and went through the furnace. Then said that the amps for the inducer motor was low and it was going to fail in the near future and needed to be replaced. Since the unit was only five years old with a 10 year warranty they could replace the unit for between $700 to $800 in labor. I asked if that is the lowest they could go. They came back with an amount of $425 firm. They said they would have to go to Boise with the old inducer motor and exchange it for the warranteed one. I told them that was too much for removing 4 screws and disconnecting 2 vacuum and electrical connections. They left. Then I had another company that I have used in years past come. I thought they had gone out of business, but I found them listed on the Rheem contractor site. The technician tested the inducer motor and found nothing wrong with it. It cost me $79 for the 2nd opinion but was well worth it. read more

They replaced our hvac system back in February. They failed the city inspection multiple times, and our thermostat failed in March. They took the thermostat out of our house so we don't have the model or serial number to file a claim through another company. It's been 6 months and they have stopped communicating or responding. We've set appointments and they confirmed and then no showed. Save yourself the stress and go with someone with more value! read more

I paid $5980 for a Halo water conditioner on the word of an express plumbing installer. This was a higher price than the softener option. I wanted a water softener because of the hard water here in Nampa. He promised this system was BETTER than a softener because it would soften the water AND also tasted great! We'll, it's 6 months later and my toilets and my brand new dishwasher is full of hard water spots and scaling is on everything. I complained so the installer came back out on March 28th and agreed the scaling was bad. Halo said they don't promise no scaling. The installer said he would check with the owner and get back to me. He was called on March 29th and April 4th telling me he would call back. To date, no calls back. Also, I emailed the company and no word back. I'm stuck with this junk and still no resolution. I'm frustrated and really don't want anyone else to go through this. read more

So glad I found Express Plumbing! Our toilets had been acting up for a few weeks (both upstairs) and the morning I called Express one of them had completely given out. It wasn't an emergency as one was still usable (post plunge) but when I called to schedule an appt the customer service agent was so kind and helpful. She listened to the issue and had Matthew Adrian at our house within 2 hours! Matthew was knowledgeable and kind, and didn't try to upsell items that weren't needed. We needed a Plummer to fix a leak...so express came out and he had to splice a line after cutting a 5x8 hole in the wall total job 30 minutes..part cost 20 dollars and we were billed 436.00 Outrageous...also during the covid virus...plummer didn't wear mask or gloves.... When I called and questioned The bill. And what the hourly rate was I was told they don't have any...i was shocked. She stated they do their own quotes. The reason for the two stars, is because the guy was actually super nice. He was kind and tried to help. But I called to get the plumbing fixed and it only made it worse. I was also charge $300 for the work not being done, which was totally ridiculous. I had to then go pay another plumber "Al's" who did an awesome job and got it unplugged. Express Plumbing Services (EPS) looked good from reviews, but I was very disappointed. On the plus side the plumber did complete the repair. But a number of issues: * Overpriced for minor work (even online cost estimators had the job typically at $200 or less and I paid $294) * No ability to review quote due to plumber's equipment issues prior to work starting and no receipt * I had to provide tools for the job to the plumber * Flaky on show up time and parking including erroneous communication from their office * Tried to upsell on other products and services I called EPS to replace the washer/gasket between a toilet tank and bowl. A pretty simple fix but living in a Condo I wasn't sure I would have all of the tools on hand to fix things that might go wrong while doing the repair. The woman at EPS that I talked with who made the appointment indicated that the van the plumber would have should fit in our parking garage. So we scheduled an appointment for the next day. The plumber called me the following day pretty much on time, and said he was 15-20 minutes out. I described our parking garage and where he would need to park, then waited for him at the garage. 30 minutes later, no plumber. Finally, I get a call after bugging the office and he is unable to fit in the garage. He asks me about what I need done, and I describe the simple toilet gasket replacement and he describes this as a "complete rebuild" of the toilet for $250 and tries to get me to buy a new toilet (!!). I say "no" to the new toilet and that $250 is awfully expensive, and he says he will work on this and call me back. For a long time I don't hear from him, and am starting to look into just doing the repair myself. So over an hour later he calls saying he is at the door to our condo and needs to be let in. Heck, I thought he had given up. He comes in and is holding a tank-to-bowl gasket in his hand and nothing else. Just to check on where he was during this time, I asked him if he spent that time working on our job or something more useful? In answer he agreed he wasn't working on our job. I let him in and he looks at the toilet and says the gasket will fix it. And says he has to do a quote first. 10 minutes later he has his smaller iPhone with a quote for $294 (!!) on it that I cannot read and he can't figure out how I can sign (I believe he spent most of those 10 minutes trying to get the quote typed into his iPhone). He says he has no control over the price as it is programmed in by EPS which he should have called EPS for me and put me on for a discussion - but he didn't. At this point I just wanted the work done and over with, I told him to go ahead. He gives up on me signing the quote and begins the work. Right away he comes out and asks me for tools to do the job (a deep well socket, extension and ratchet) which fortunately I have. At this point he does the work which itself takes a total of about 20 minutes. But if anything had gone wrong during the repair, he would not have had tools for it!! He comes out and wants payment, which I make, but he cannot figure out how to send me a receipt. At this point he has only been in our Condo for a total of about 40 minutes with likely at least half of that time spent trying to deal with his iPhone. Right before leaving he says he would like me to give him a good review so he can get $50!!!! 10 minutes after he has left I get an email with an invoice to be paid, but not a receipt saying I paid. Never using EPS again. Ever. read more

I described my problem and he dispatched Simon who arrived within 20 minutes. I was advised via email and text of who to expect- complete with a photo- and by what time. Had a problem with my tub faucet and the water wasn't getting hot. Chris came out within 3 hours and had it fixed in about 2 hours. He had to cut tile and do whatever plumbers do, but he did a good job and I had a hot shower for the first time in a month. He was very personable and very pleased to be working with Express Plumbing. He thought they were a very good company, and I would agree. Plumbing is never cheap, but I was very happy with the work and with Chris. Would definitely use them again. read more

Express Plumbing did an okay job in removing and re-installing our toilet prior to and after new tile installation in our bathroom. However, they are pricey! If you need something done quickly and have no other choice, then be prepared to pay an exorbitant rate. We paid $515 to have our old toilet removed and a new toilet (which we provided) installed. Beware-limited knowledge of what they are doing. $700 of work on my backed up sewer and had to get someone else out 2 days later. Sprayed green paint to mark sewer line that I still haven't gotten out of my beautiful concrete patio. I called the office and they promised they would be out to clean it up and never did. My hallway has marks on the wall where they dragged hoses. Nice guys but honesty need to be trained better or fond another line of work. read more

My mother needed a faucet replacement in a small bathroom in a commercial rental she has. The plumber spent the first 45 minutes in his truck on his cell phone. When she went out & asked what was going on he just said he was 'figuring it out'. -likely for more hours charged. Then the faucet he brought was a very heavy chrome--fancier then needed for that small 50 year old sink. They left no invoice, but charged $485 for the job. Now I know...this is the last plumbing company I would ever call on to work on my house again. Called them up because of a clogged toilet & the first guy came out & didn't have the tools he suggested to use so a different guy came to the house the next morn. He removed my toilet & then crawled under the house & said because of the backed up toilet there was raw sewage that leaked under the house & did damage to the subfloor surrounding the toilet & he was very eager to call a hazardous clean up crew & that it was very necessary, so I approved to get an estimate from the hazardous clean up crew(apparently his buddy). The guy came out & wanted to rip out the floor in my brand new bathroom as well as some of the kitchen floor because according to him, the damage probably spread to the kitchen. Again...this hazardous clean up guy was very eager to start right away at tearing apart my house for so called thousands of dollars in damage. I told them to please give me a few hours to come up with the money & both companies left. Well to sum this up.....I crawled under the house myself to see the raw sewage damage to the subfloor in the bathroom. I saw a QUARTER size wet spot on the subfloor directly next to the toilet sewage pipe. A household fan & small heater left on for 5 hours to dry the subfloor completely & a new $10 wax seal for the toilet & my problem was fixed. Got the bill for almost $600 from the plumbing company to pull the toilet & snake the sewer drain & I had to finish the job myself. This pluming company deserves a HALF star if yelp would let me, only because the very first guy they sent out was nice & professional & I don't think he had anything to do with the racket the second guy & his "hazardous clean up crew" we're running. After checking reviews for "Quick Dry Restoration" this is the scam that the owner, Evan Gines has pulled on others before trying it on me. Please use caution if u decide to use either of these companies on your house & I wish you luck & hope that u have very deep pockets. read more

While he was there, I asked him to look at a bathroom sink drain that was draining slow & he returned another day that was convenient for me to fix it by replacing the drain plunger thing (?). He also resolved an issue I was having with the kitchen sink drain due to the new faucet. Dustin was friendly, professional, knowledgeable & worked quickly. At first they were good. Then it went downhill. Never on time, they would call couple hours later (sometimes we had to call them) to say they couldn't make it that day that we scheduled. My boyfriend and I had to leave work early or show up later. Missed a few hours of work for nothing. It has taken them a whole month to work on our plumbing. It seems like we are their last priority. Their contracted sheet-rock wall person showed up today but then left minutes later to go snow plow (other job). Now its going to take another week to patch up the holes in the walls they created.
