Decided to utilize my Marriott points and booked a 6 day stay at this Marriott Hotel. When walking…read moreinto the hotel you notice how massive the lobby is and how roomy it feels. This hotel has an attached casino and it is very large with tables and digital machines. You have choices of cabana rooms or rooms overlooking the ocean. I chose the ocean view with patio. The room was very large and the bed and pillows were comfy. I really like the pillows not too fluffy, soft, or hard. The housekeepers were the best given how large the room was and how they have to deal with sand tracked into the room. They mopped everyday and ensured the tile was spotless. I also chose to use points to get the breakfast every morning and I am glad I did that breakfast if bought separate would run $40 a day, but with the selection you had would still be worth it. Everything was fresh and so good. I fell for the Puerto Rican Farina type cream of wheat and the corn type cream of wheat. I also enjoyed how the hotel had designated employees who would carry your beach chair to a spot and dig an umbrella into sand for you at no charge. If you have a rental car the hotel has covered parking and the hotel covers the parking fee included in price of room. There is a gem outside the hotel and that's the hotel gelato bar. This is the best gelato I have ever tasted. The raspberry and lemon combination I picked was heavenly. The lemon hit your taste bud joyfully and I wanted more! I could go on about the hotel but I hope the pictures capture the rest. This is a good vacation hotel to pick.

Amazing trip from leaving Norfolk. Arrival was effortless. We were greeted warmly, in English…read moreand Spanish. Our arrival was earlier in the day, so the room was not available for some hours. I truly did not care. We were at THE BEACH.. cool drinks and good food awaits!! We went to dine at one of the restaurants. Good meal. Our room on the 10 th floor gave such amazing views from the balcony. The king bed was clean, room floor nice and clean bathroom as well. We enjoyed our amazing mixologist Angel he is such a personality, will crafting the drinks offered on the menu and your personal choices. The casino was basic, Cafe Mercado offered great coffee each morning. This was a absolutely great trip. The hotel is elegant and even guest all were just friendly. There are different activities each day or not. Its all us to you. I do plan on visiting again.

I have very mixed feelings about my recent stay at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar. While the property…read moreitself is visually stunning and the pool area is a major highlight, the initial "welcome" was lacking. Our check-in felt cold, and we weren't given much information about the resort amenities. The biggest issue was cleanliness. Our room was ready quickly, but I found used water glasses left behind outside of the room and, more concerning, my bed linens clearly hadn't been changed--there were visible stains and hair on the pillows and sheet. It took a few conversations with the front desk and the housekeeping manager to get it resolved, but once they did, the staff was very diligent for the rest of the trip. The service at the on-site restaurants was consistently slow, so we ended up eating off-site most nights for dinner. It's a beautiful spot for a large group or a conference, but for a personal getaway, the lack of attention to detail means it wouldn't be my first choice. Special thanks to: Victoria (Front Desk), Ricky (Concierge), and Mary (Bartender) for providing the kind of service I expected from a resort of this caliber.

I asked some of the workers and they said that was normal. Other than that, the food was good, staff was polite, hotel was clean, and the atmosphere was fun. If you're looking for a hotel and don't mind the wind I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Embassy Suites. We stayed here for the final three nights…read moreof our Puerto Rico getaway. After spending the first half of the trip hiking and venturing out in San Juan, it was nice to go to a more remote part of the island and relax. Plus, free happy hours and breakfast...what more do you need?! I'll start with the amenities. The three levels of pools made the area feel bigger than it was. There were conventions going on while we stayed, so it was crowded, but we managed to find chairs both days. The best part was the easy access to a private beach. Plenty of seating and space for couple and families to spread out. The water is also incredible! But I recommend wearing some sort of water shoes due to seaweed and some rocks depending on where you wander. The food and service went beyond my expectations. To accommodate my wife's gluten allergy, the server at the poolside restaurant managed to secure us *baked French fries, which no one had ever done for her before. That was amazing. The burger I had at the indoor restaurant was also very good. The prices for those meals were pretty inexpensive for a hotel. As for the free items, the happy hours were pleasant. Not the biggest *wow factors, but still...it's free. The breakfasts are well worth waking up for, and as other reviewers pointed out, Jorge's omelettes were supreme. If you're a millennial like myself, stepping into this Embassy Suites is jumping back things I found fascinating as a child. There's a koi pond! And the glass indoor elevators still amaze me. Yes...the carpets and some aesthetics feel outdated. The bedroom carpets felt out of place and old, and should be removed for tile at some point. But if the 2005 vibe is the reason we could afford staying here, I'll take it! As an added bonus, across the parking lot, there are other restaurants, a bowling alley, driving range, and go carts! There's also a casino with live poker and roulette if you're feeling lucky. This resort truly has something for everyone. Make sure to order a piña colada and soak in the good vibes.

I will start with I have traveled all over the world and stayed at many Hiltons. Shame on you for…read morerepresenting yourself as a Hilton. you should have name revoked. starting with driving up. vallet does not greet you. they do not do bell service only for a few you pay at check in. and were by far the most unfriendly people I have met along this trip. Once we were in lobby we had to navigate the 20 deep customers checking in while the lobby was entirely full with high school graduates. Third on my list. If you are American. do not stay here. they were rude at the pool at the shed on the beach, room service. I say this with a heavy heart. I may not speak spanish but I know what great customer service and experience looks like. At one point we had zero air conditioning, hot tub advertise doesn't work. Room smelt like someone barfed in it and they tried to clean it up. We had to wait to check in at 6pm for over an hour. Check in was at 5pm based off reservation. I would give this place a negative 10 for its horrible hospitality.
