A cool little bar above The Oyster Shack. The hostess at The Oyster Shack told me and my gf about this place after we enjoyed an excellent meal there. It's the steps to the left of the bar area. We walked up and were pleasantly surprised at how vibey it was. There was only a couple people there since it was a weekday and it was early, but that was fine with us. The bartender was great and the views were too. He made my gf an excellent fruity drink and I enjoyed a Medalla Light. This is a great spot! Highly Recommended Thanks bro! They had a DJ playing some great music.

I visited Puerto Rico for the first time and wanted a late night dinner with my girlfriend. We decided on El Jefe because they had a rooftop with games, were open late and had decent reviews. We arrived around 12am hoping we made a good decision and were disappointed immediately. The music was similar to hard rock, which wasn't appealing. The restaurant was completely empty and the staff members were sitting on their phones. Once given a menu, we ordered drinks which we couldn't even drink. They tasted like they were made with salt water. After getting our drinks it took about 20 minutes to place an order despite trying to get their attention. We ordered chicken tacos which weren't even cooked. The tortilla broke in half as we were eating and were so dry we had to request sour cream, which they didn't even have. They gave us chipotle mayo which wasn't great but made the meal bearable. I watched them take cold chicken out of a container and put it on our tacos. For $18 tacos and $12 drinks I was extremely disappointed. We had to go to McDonald's after. It was a waste of time and money and I don't recommend anyone to go there Our waiter was very nice, and was accommodating. He didn't charge for one of the drinks which I really appreciated

Food was delicious, fish tacos was on point. First medalla beer I've ever tasted and loved it. This place made my first meal memorable, love the atmosphere and the people were friendly and helpful. Location is a very touristy area so parking is a challenge.

Fish Tacos and Ceasar Salad with Steak

Tuna tataki with the chili sauce was excellent. Fish tacos were 100% fresh and delicious! Standard Caesar salad. Great ambiance lots of fun music! Staff was super friendly and had great menu suggestions!

    Fish tacos. I think.

Spectacular Cesar Salad,, best I've ever had. I know it's not a typical appetizer but don't sleep on it, you'll regret it!

AMBIANCE You're in the city so it's an eventful area. There's street parking and nearby lots but your best to carpool or rideshare. As for the vibes, I'm told in the daytime it's a local marketplace that's filled with vendors and other fresh produce booths. It's pretty chill with a nice neighborhood feel. As for the evening, this is where to turn up and get a pulse of Puerto Rico parties. EXPERIENCE Go to your bar, pick your vibe from community, club excessive, lounge feel, live music or etc. Drink choices rangeThey have it here! Plenty of photo op spots and good energy. I was here peak of the #DTMF era so it was magical to see people come together with a speaker and a cowbell. A local put into perspective how this was way better than paying for an expensive hotel party. It was truly a 1 of 1 experience. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. It doesn't get any better. There's a reason why this space is dropped in lyrics and people's recommendations because this is the heart of the people. So don't be shy! Grab a drink, walk around, catch a dance, and be safe! TIPS: * Don't just settle for one spot. Be sure to explore around to experience the entire Santurce experience!

You won't get that in the tourist areas. I went on a Friday night and there were people everywhere. On the sidewalk and on the streets. I don't even know how cars managed to make it through, there were so many people. There was loud music but I don't remember if it was coming from this club or the open air club across the street... It all bleeds together after a while. This spot is less of a club and more of a local hangout spot. Not really much dancing going on... Just drinking, talking, laughing, and catching up with friends. Not quite a "chill" vibe, but much more chill than some of the surrounding venues. Perfect for enjoying a few beers or cocktails, people watching, and unwinding after a long week, or a long flight.

This whole area is basically a party in the streets, with dozens of people hanging out with loud music blasting. It is almost like La Placita-lite. Bonus points for the wutang logo above the door.
