When they couldn't get the stump grinder over a small retaining wall, they said they would be back with a ramp so they wouldn't damage the wall. We all agreed to get a quote to get the tree trimmed, but then the snow came...and then the cold weather set in...and the strong wind wildly ripped off another really big branch into a bush and onto our neighbor's driveway. Oh man, what a freaking disaster! On the coldest night of the year, we grabbed another neighbor and together we teamed up to get the branch off their property. Since I totally and completely don't blame my neighbors for wanting the rest of the tree to come down, we agreed to share the cost and hire Eagle Tree Service for the job. These guys are ninja tree whisperers. In no time at all there was one guy on a ladder with a rope and a chainsaw, and another guy with a rope who was in charge of making sure the ginormous tree didn't lean too much to the left and destroy our house, or too much to the right and hit our neighbors' house again. This tree was a dividing line between our houses, and there was no room for error. We had two tall and large dying pine trees removed, stumps ground not just ground down but below the stump. The owner that gave me the quote is a Certified Arborist and he was here with his team to do the work with his own equipment vs rental. When I got the quote he took the time to notice tree health issues all the others missed which we already knew about and made great suggestions and offered several options beyond what we asked for that only someone with that experience would know and we had him do the incremental work at a very reasonable price. When they left, you would never know they were here other than the missing trees. The clincher was my wife who hired them was very particular and left after they were mid way to run some errands. Jose asked if she could return before he left to approve the work. I wasn't necessary but a nice touch. I had my wife return to see the finished work even though she was satisfied before.
