When I reminded them that they were the ones who had performed the original work, the response was essentially, "Oh, we can just repair these couple of bricks. It's not a big deal." My garage is set wayyyy back detached from my house, so it is a very long driveway - it's been over a year, and we love it. Several neighbors have asked for his info, even leaving notes in my mailbox, and everyone agrees that I brought up the whole block's value. This is a long-term investment that has already started to pay off. I'll also add that my village, in spite of my permit application being sent in in November, did not tell me until two months later in January that they were going to tear up my street, the gutters, and that everyone's apron (including my brand new beautiful apron) would be destroyed, to be fixed at my own expense. R A Works, is a terrific company to work with in all facets of the job…read more I called to request a bid on some concrete work that I needed to have completed and they came out the next day. After I explained exactly what I wanted to have done, they asked if they could make a couple of suggestions. I said "of course" and they had a couple great ideas that we incorporated into the plans. I received a detailed bid that night. I awarded R A Works the contract about a week later and they put me in the que for mid-May (we were in early April at the time). Four days later they reached out on a Sunday night and said they had a window for the next day and inquired if that was acceptable. I said "yes" and they were at the house the next morning at 7am. As they were framing for the pour, they called me outside with another suggested design change. My wife thought it was great and thanked them for the suggestion. They explained exactly what they were going to do and went to great lengths with their heavy equipment to avoid any damage to the lawn and village sidewalks. The pour went as planned and the final product looks absolutely great - 1st class workmanship. When they returned to remove the framework, they backfilled with dirt around the sidewalk and cleaned up the entire area. Great experience. Professional; great sense of urgency; quality workmanship; and customer friendly.
