Seriously, when I got here I thought, "Good God this guy is going to use a hacksaw to take my foot off!" I completely was ready to make a b-line for the front door and just call this whole thing off because the office is severely outdated, I'm talking severely! To my surprise they actually had working computers...LOL! If you can look past the severely outdated office, the antiquated items you may see in exam rooms, the peeling plaster on the walls you will find the staff super nice and the doctor is an experienced foot God! No the staff won't light incense and shake a dead chicken around your foot in tribute to the good doctor. I meant he's more like God sent, not literally a deity. I run often and twisted my ankle pretty badly a few months back but had pain that came and went. The previous doctor that i visited a few months ago had all the high tech fancy gadgets was probably fresh out of medical school but was clueless as to why I was feeling severe pain in my ankle. Thankfully Dr. Wolfson with all his vast experience quickly identified why I was experiencing pain as an ankle fracture. Had I not sought a second opinion with this office I very well could have done some unintentional permanent damage to my ankle. Dr. Wolfson confidently examined my foot and was quick to figure out exactly what was broken (literally). So as the old adage goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover" and even though this small office is outdated in appearance, within its walls is a great doctor. I'm very happy with the care I'm getting, the ease of making appointments and the lovely nursing staff. I will take an old school doctor like Wolfson who comes with vast experience over a young modern high tech toting dult that knows nothing other than to press a magical button on the automatic blood pressure cuff. I'm so thankful to have found this doctor and gotten proper care for my ankle. If I break anything else I'm coming here for repairs.

Luckily I was eventually referred to a competent podiatrist who took more than one x-ray and was able to identify a fracture immediately. Of course, since there was no diagnosis months ago, now my insurance won't cover several of his recommended treatments for a slow healing fracture. Amazing. I've been a user of Yelp for years but this is my first review since I just had to share this with anyone reading. I'm just amazed at the gross neglect in this case. All of this to say I'm sadly disappointed in the pedi itself. The office and their associates are wonderful. Dr. Sha is very friendly and made me smile at first meet with a funny greeting. I was a little cranky since I hadn't eaten but he quickly lifted my spirits. The appointment: We sat and spoke for about 30 mins. I'm so informed and found things out about my feet that I'd never known. It's clear that Dr. Sha loves what he does. One thing I've noticed about the health industry is that they're quick to shove surgery and pills into you. This office doesn't stand on that. The goal is to avoid surgery and to avoid unnecessary means by actually figuring out the cause of the problem and fixing it as best as possible through all alternative avenues. I admire that. But on to the actual service. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it was paid for through Groupon or if this is just the standard here but not too much was done to make me feel a complete difference in my feet. The pedi part took all of about 10-15 mins. For $59, I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with what I got and I'm left wondering if the visit was worth it at all and whether a pedicure at a nail salon with some informational reading would've sufficed. I'm sorry she felt she had a bad experience, but I just can't imagine how. I've never had to wait for an appointment-in fact if I'm early, they take me right in. I found his office and equipment to be modern and clean, and both he and his staff were, and are, very personable and professional-shout out to Gracie and Kim! But to begin the story of my own experience, Dr. Moser came HIGHLY recommended to me by a friend who had her bunions done by him. The thing I was most concerned about was recovery time on bunion surgery-I read all these horror stories online about being off your feet for 6 WEEKS! My friend said her recovery from surgery with Dr. Moser was very fast, so I went to him to get my right foot done first. I found him to be kind, warm and funny, and very careful about explaining every part of the procedure clearly. The best part was that he said I'd be in a flip-flop in about 2 weeks...and he was right-no 6-week recovery!!! In fact, I was NEVER totally off my feet but you do have to rest up and elevate it as much as possible the first 3 days. I had my surgery on 5/5/11, and I wore a soft cast and and a lightweight boot until 5/18. I took Ibuprofen 800 for the pain-just a sidebar comment here: The label on IB 800 says to take it with food, but it doesn't say you can't drink with it...AMEN...that's about as religious as I get. I think "spirituality" takes many forms, and vodka IS a spirit...especially when you and your ass-hat of a boyfriend break up during your surgery recovery. But I digress. It is 5/20 today-I have a very small amount of pain, the stitches haven't come out yet so I have Frankenfoot and some swelling, but I AM already wearing flip-flops, just like Dr. Moser promised! He took his time in making sure that I understood my after care instructions and to answer any questions I had. Gracey his assistant was great and very friendly. She definitely helps put the patient at ease by chatting with them. Michelle has been awesome in getting all my insurance stuff handled. I have junk insurance and the office did everything possible to work with me in order to get my procedure done and covered by insurance. I work in a doctors office and I see how sometimes there is not enough emphasis put on patient care...that is NOT he case here in Dr Moser's office! He will lie and take…read moreadvantage then last minute ask if it's okay for some med student to be in the operating room during your surgery. He used my own insecurities about how my foot looked against me to convince me to get toe shortening's promising it'd make my toes better than they were before and that I would end up with hammertoes if he didn't shorten them. All while assuring me the procedure was completely routine and safe, that he's performed hundreds of them (horrifying to reflect on now). I feel dumb for ever believing him. By shortening the toes he created hammertoes and arthritis in the middle joints. My surgery was performed september 2020. He caused a large bone spur to form, increased the angle of my bunion, took too much bone so now I'd need a bone graft from my hip to fix, and further rotated the sesimoid so that only one knob hits the ground when I walk making it incredibly painful to walk barefoot or without cushioned insoles. Not to mention my previously functioning lesser toes being crippled by his "corrective" surgery. He is a bad bad person. Do not go to him. If you need bunion surgery I highly suggest going to an orthopedic foot surgeon as I'm discovering more and more that most podiatrist surgeons should not be trusted for any surgery. I wish I'd known more at the time and I wish there had been more on the internet warning me of the predatory nature of podiatry or else I'd still have my functioning toes and wouldn't need another surgery to correct the bunion he only made worse. He 100000% should not have a medical license at this point. Remember, health care in this country is a for-profit BUSINESS. Do not get conned by going to this person.

He performed a major reconstruction of both my feet in 2020. Since then, I've had a new type of pain that isn't going away, and completely deformed, crooked toes. I went to multiple post op opinions, last being with an orthopedic surgeon from HSS and everyone was horrified with my scars, surgery, and before/after photos. Everyone is asking 'why?' In retrospect, my biggest mistake was not getting a second opinion after seeing Dr Voloshin. I blindly trusted in what Dr Voloshin told me (he is a 'doctor' after all!) . I had no concept of understanding of how surgery should be done and what are the risks associated with it. Dr Voloshin didn't explain the risks to me of the procedures he was going to do, like toe shortening, ironically, he assured me, that I won't even notice, that anything was performed on my toes,that flexibility will back 100% in a few months, that I'm going to thank him forever,"I guess won't forget him now forever". If he would have told me that the toes may not heal properly because of how RISKY the surgery was, that the toes are going to be stiff forever - I would have never agreed to the surgery. My toes and feet were healthier before, I didn't have a hammer toe, but now, only God knows how I can find a specialist who can fix the awful, botched job that Dr Voloshin performed on me. I'm only 37.On top of it all, I am not able to do any sports or physical activity because of the amount of pain I'm in and stiffness of my toes.I'm destroyed.
