Horrifying customer service. We went in for a simple very small flower arrangement and specifically said "I can't spent much" and this hateful selfish woman charged $80 that we then felt obligated to pay since she already made them. Daughter in law used Michele for flowers for her wedding the weekend of October 6, 2018. Fairly small order that consisted of bride's bouquet, matron of honor's bouquet, grandparent's corsages, boutonnieres, etc. Bride requested burgundy flowers with accents of green (Italian Ruscus), and gold. Flowers delivered were purple and did not match what was discussed with Michele. The bride was devastated at time of delivery so I got involved. Michele was non apologetic and stuck to her belief that she delivered what was ordered. What was delivered was nowhere close tp what bride wanted. Be sure to get every detail spelled out in the contract. Ordered fresh flowers for the cake which delivery gal was not permitted to arrange. Luckily wedding planner was able to add to flowers delivered by Michele. The biggest that I have was that Michele, at no time, apologized for the misunderstanding or the fact that bride was upset on her wedding day. My recommendation would be for you to do everything you can to find a florist in the area other than Perfect Petals by Michele. Has no understanding of customer service. Perfect Petals made made my daughter's wedding incredible! People could not stop commenting on the beautiful arrangements. Everything was made up and delivered as specified. Michele was a breeze to work with and I felt that she went out of her way to make everything work. My advice to anyone reading the negative reviews, when using any florist, go over every detail several times until you feel it is right. Have everything in writing and you will not be disappointed. Called Michele on a Tuesday for a Friday flower delivery for Mother's Day- not only was she helpful on the phone, but she even texted me a picture so I could see the flowers I was sending since I live out of town! I requested ranunculus flowers that are normally a special order, but she was able to get her hands on some and included them in my arrangement. If you're in the Dover/New Philly/Sugarcreek area, she's the best. Also picked up an arrangement from her on a whim a few months ago and it was a lovely little daisy arrangement that was perfect for visiting someone in assisted living. Thanks, Michele! I honestly thought long and hard about whether I should post this or not but I felt it was very necessary because of how terrible my experience was with Michele. I told her that I had a budget and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for flowers. She emailed me two days later after our meeting with a quote of over $15,000!! I simply had her adjust it and cut a lot of things out and she got me down to around $8,000. I then had to cut even more to get her down to only $6,000. With that $6,000 I would've barely had any flowers in my arrangements because we had to cut so much. Also, she wanted a deposit of $3,000 within a week when my wedding isn't for a whole entire year. Makes no sense. I texted Michele and was very nice and told her I appreciated the time she put into my flower quotes but I had to go with someone else as she wasn't within my budget. From there she got very upset and angry with me that I got another quote from another business and said she was disappointed because she spent hours on a quote for me....pretty sure that's part of the job. She said that I wasn't allowed showing her quote to another company and that it was supposed to be private? I never once signed a contract or even told Michele that I was for sure using her as my florist so in my opinion I can do whatever I want with that quote ESPECIALLY when I'm the one paying for the flowers, I want to make sure I get the lowest price possible. Michele ended up going to my moms work, interrupted her at work to talk about how upset she was that I shared her quote and that she spent so much time on that quote and didn't get my business. If she is that confident about her prices and business you shouldn't need to keep your quotes "private". She was very rude and extremely unprofessional. After this situation happened to me I had several other people saying they had bad experiences with her too. Really disappointed. read more

Had her do arrangements for my wedding. At first, super-helpful, and seemed to take good notes about what we wanted. Day of the wedding, she showed up with centerpieces that needed to be redone. They were not at all what we asked for. The bouquets were beautiful, but the mothers' bouquets ended up being corsages, which was wrong. The 2 year-old flower girl's bouquet was the same size as the bridesmaids. I'm glad I had several women around that day that could fix the issues, because even when I told her they were wrong, she just played it off and left to do another delivery. read more

I waited too long to post this review and for that I apologize to anyone who has been as misled, disappointed and honestly infuriated as we had on our wedding day. But seeing our wedding photos being used without our permission on Michele's social media after the way we were treated has pushed me to post the review. Not only was Michele the most unprofessional person Ive ever delt with from showing up almost 2 hours later then the time in our contract to popping her head in my dressing room ON HER WAY OUT to casually mention she couldnt complete the order as outlined in our contract so she put FAKE FLOWERS in my bouquet but there was absolutely no warrning about the fact that she misplaced 2 handkerchiefs that my bouquet were to be wrapped in. My pop pop died when I was 2 and my dad held on to that handkerchief for 25 years, it was one of the last things he had from him. My grandpap died when I was 14, thats another 13 years we held on to his handkerchief. She lost them both. Didnt mention it, blamed my bridesmaids and then my photographer. When I called to see if they were at her shop so I could at least have them back and to discuss the poor state in which the flower were dropped off (half the boys flowers fell apart during the 20 minute ceremony) she said "sue me" and hung up on me. Really professional. Stay far far away from Michele's less then perfect petals. read more

Perfect Petals by Michele/Elegance of Brielle was hired to create and deliver my bridal bouquet for my wedding 9.28.19. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. First off - they promised to deliver the flowers the morning of my wedding and we had to call them in the afternoon to ask when my bouquet was going to get there (We had to wait on it to take pictures)! When we first called them they sounded confused and were asking us questions about what it was supposed to look like and what my colors were. About an hour later a bouquet arrives that looks nothing like what we ordered. At this time there was only 1.5 hours left until the ceremony. We called them back to let them know they must have delivered the wrong bouquet. They then proceeded to blame us for the mix up (we placed our order at least a month in advance), were EXTREMELY rude to my mom and said "well I can come back and fix it but I don't want to". There's no way they would have had time to fix it before the ceremony so I was left carrying a bouquet down the aisle that was thrown together at the last minute. I even had to add on ribbon at the venue so that I'd at least match my bridesmaids bouquets a little bit. Yesterday my mom dropped by the shop to try and figure out what went wrong - they refuse to apologize. My best guess as to what happened is that they did not have my bouquet ready and threw one together last minute of what they had laying around. read more

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My sons wedding was this past weekend-flowers were delivered from Perfect Petals and a few were not as they expected. We contacted the owner Michelle amongst the chaos an hour before the wedding. Michelle's IMMEDIATE TONE AND ATTITUDE was unbelievable. Rude, harsh and brief. Per the contract her delivery person was unable to put the flowers on the cake the poor delivery girl felt terrible and left crying. I contacted Michelle today to go over details. The contract was vague. The brides bouquet and flower girls head piece were completely as described. However maid of honor and in memorandum flower vase and cake flowers were not. I tried to talk to Michelle today to get clarification. Michelle's attitude and tone was again immediately rude and defensive. I mentioned to her that this was a small order and she said with great sarcasm "yeah it was a small order" her last words to me were "I'm not going to get ripped" and hung up the phone on me what kind of professional does this?? read more

Here is the short version...Michele is a sweet lady who does nice work for reasonable price.She was our wedding florist and while she created our flowers almost exactly how we asked, there were a few key problems that make me hesitant to recommend her to another bride. First and foremost, she didn't deliver the flowers to our venue on our wedding day, even though our contract expressly stated that she would, and a delivery fee was included in our total cost. My mother, the mother of the bride, had to leave our venue and drive half an hour to the florist shop to pick up our items the morning of our wedding. When my mother arrived at the shop, it was locked and closed up as Michele was delivering other orders. After much back and forth, we were finally able to get our items. The delay threw off our entire wedding day timeline, forcing our photographer to wait to take important pictures until my mother returned. Also, even though my bouquet was lovely, it was missing elements that we had discussed and were in the contract. When questioned about the issues, Michele was apologetic but said that going over the contract and notifying me of changes to my bouquet had "slipped through the cracks." Very frustrating to hear as a bride who paid good money for products and services. She kept bringing up the fact that she had actually lost money filling our order and basically made it sound like my husband and I should have been grateful that she even took pity on us and agreed to do business with us. It is unfortunate that she filled our order at a loss, but it is poor customer relations to reiterate this to your client, who has no control in that matter. She did offer to make things right buy refunding us $10, which is what she said she charged us for delivery, but after paying more than $400 only to have major problems on our wedding day, $10 did not seem like a fair refund. I politely told her to keep the $10. She did give us a coupon for a $60 arrangement, but my husband and I are so frustrated by the lack of customer service that it is unlikely that we will redeem it. All in all...nice lady, cute shop, pretty flowers, but be warned of using her for your big ticket items. She is newer to the wedding to the wedding business, and unfortunately it caused problems for us. read more

I was also involved in the wedding Mary D. mentioned. I began handling the situation so that the bride could get ready. Mother of the bride had driven to the shop to pick up the flowers after the vendor failed to deliver them. MOB called me to say that the shop was closed when she arrived and she was waiting outside. I attempted to contact Michelle to find out what was going on. It took nearly 20-30 minutes to even get a response from her. When I did get her it was not a pleasant experience. I calmly let her know the MOB had been there for quite awhile and the wedding was in a little over an hour. She responded very impolitely and then hung up on me. To me this is unacceptable service. She seemed very unapologetic about her mistakes and then blamed the customer. When MOB did bring the flowers and they were beautiful, but the service was unpleasant and unprofessional. I do not recommend using this vendor. Stay clear! read more
