On September 1, 2021 we signed an agreement with Cascadia to reduce our CLS and LCP. As noted on p1 of the proposal they had the ability to review the backend of the site before making any commitments. You will note there is no cap in hours for the project, just that the project would get done. We gave them multiple chance to correct the issues and complete their work, but they simply do not do as they say they will and try and rely on unenforceable legalize that is subject to unilateral change without notice, according to their website. Initially we were very excited. It was nice to worked with a US based company who supported important causes like protecting our environment and diversity. We have since learned many things about this company that frighten us. We are in process of contacting financial institutions and government agencies, but most of that information will never be public. This company never completed any of the work they were hired to do and in fact did great damage to our site - and charged us every time to fix their issues. When confronted on the issue they blamed everyone from the theme manufacturer to the previous developer to us. If we complained about something, they accused us of being negative. If we fixed something ourselves the expressed frustration with that. Our original project was quoted at $500.00 While we have not yet completed the financial audit it appears that we have paid over $5,000 to them for work that was never completed per the proposal they constructed. Then they simply walked away and said all their work is as is with no warranty. When I initially talked to their salesperson about the fact that the project was underbid, he said he was aware and that they were willing to do that to earn the rest of our business. Once the issues became apparent, we have discovered several other issues. For example, they had someone representing themselves as an employee when they were not an employee at all. After a more in-depth review today we have found potentially serious issues with they way they are doing business. At this point we are trying to determine how many different states are involved and with what agencies the complaints need to be filed. Make no mistake, the owner is a smooth talker and will stop at nothing to blame me and anyone else he can for the issues. Honestly this should have been first red flag. I am sure he will have some cleverly worded retort. I am easy to find, feel free to reach out to me directly for confirmation of the issues. Nothing in review waives any of our privacy rights as a former customer. The opinions expressed our my own, but I believe I can easily substantiate them.
