So supposedly the RSA had called this place (only towing company in Bishop according to my google search) 9AM in the morning but maybe the quoted price was too high so RSA ended up asking another place in Sparks NV to come and get me - which didn't work because I waited for hours and then after a lot of back and forth that company decided to cancel around noon. I was pretty upset and called Billie's to ask if they are available and how much it would cost, where Billie's staff said $475 for the tow - now I understand why the RSA had originally asked and decided to try something else, that does sound pretty steep for a tow that's only 8 miles away from town and towing the car only 8 miles to town. LOL if you are the only place in town you can name whatever price you want. Anyways I was running out of options and really wanted to get the car to the town tire shop before they closed for the weekend so I called RSA again and insisted that they use Billie's instead of some unreliable place 100+ miles away and eventually they called Billie's and got someone to come in 1.5 hours. Once the tow driver arrived things moved really quickly and I got to the tire shop just 5 minutes before the technician was about to take off for the weekend. Driver was courteous and friendly.

From the very first call, the owner, Billie Edmund Lozano, was defensive and rude, refusing to give me a straight ETA. After I canceled the tow, he began calling me back-to-back, threatening to impound my trailer and "ruin my life." When I told him I wouldn't be strong-armed into doing business with him, he suddenly changed his story--from being 3-4 hours away to claiming he was "already on site" so he could charge a show-up fee. It escalated further when he claimed the store owner where my trailer was parked had asked him to impound it and that I had 15 minutes to get there--knowing full well I was over 4 hours away. At that point, I had no choice but to call the police and file a report in case my trailer was stolen or damaged before another tow company arrived. This behavior was completely unprofessional, dishonest, and aggressive. Avoid this company at all costs. No customer should ever have to deal with threats and intimidation from a tow operator.

HORRIBLE. I am a…read moreAAA member and the service sent us assistance from a Mr. K tow driver after we lost a tire chain and got stuck on an icy road. We requested a tow take us to a nearby gas station (covered by my membership). We were advised via phone and text that a tow truck would arrive at 10:30 am. After calling AAA Roadside Services multiple times (between 11 and 11:30 AM) to report that the tow truck had not shown up, the truck arrived at 12:15 (3 hours after the initial call and over 1.5 hours after the arranged time). The driver declined to tow us to a gas station! He never exited his truck. After we got neighbors to tow us partially out of the way of a driveway, the tow driver told us to leave the car where it was and "hoped we had a ride home." He did not offer us a ride. After waiting for help for 3 hours, we walked back to our condo, in the snow, for 2 miles. Do not rely on these guys!

We called around and were quoted anywhere from $700-$800. Then we called Performance Towing, and Juan answered. He quickly gave us a quote of $380 over the phone and said he would be there within 30 minutes. Juan was fast, efficient, and friendly. From the moment he arrived, we felt comfortable with him. The ride to Bishop was smooth, and we enjoyed talking and joking with him along the way. He has a warm, family-oriented personality that made a stressful situation feel much easier. After dropping our Prius off at Toyota, we realized our hotel was about a 10-minute walk away. We asked Juan if there was any chance he could give us a ride, and he kindly said yes. We told him we wanted to pay him extra, but he refused and said it wasn't necessary. Being 200 miles away from home, we truly appreciated how Juan treated us, not just as customers, but like people who needed help.
