If I could give a ZERO star, I would. I was referred to this joke of a business for a basic transmission service and was told "NOT INTERESTED" because it was barely over 100K mark. "NOT INTERESTED," seriously? Just because the car has barely over 100k miles but have ZERO clue what kind of shape my car is in. My car is immaculate and has had EVERY routine service set forth by Audi. Car has over $15k in upgrades and is cleaner than most new cars or slightly preowned cars but NO PROBLEM! I'll gladly spend my hard-earned money someplace else and also let EVERYONE that I come across to do the same. In today's day and age, repeat and referral business are the most desired customers out there but businesses like this with employees that have an attitude like they do sour customers from returning and/or referring business. read more

I've lived in Auburn for 23 years and I've always driven Germans cars. In that time I've had 7 in all - multiple BMWs & Mercedes. Frank and Brandon are the only guys in this town I'd trust to work on my German cars. I've read several reviews on here about them begin expensive. Look, you bought an expensive car, don't act like it should be cheap to service it. Their prices are very much in line with the BMW & Mercedes dealerships Montgomery and Columbus. If you want to drive an hour to get your car serviced and sit there all day waiting for it, then by all means have at it. Performance is a great convince for those of us here in Auburn. A piece of trash. I took my BMW here for a repair by recommendation from another mechanic in the auburn area. If your an AU student, Performance Services is the only place that works on German cars. The guy that's at the front is VERY RUDE!! I was waiting for my car when I heard him yell "Get that car out of here." I looked and he was pointing toward my car. When he saw that I had noticed, he straightened up and acted as if he had done nothing wrong. Their mechanics are unprofessional and rude as well!! They also DIDN'T FIX MY CAR!! My daughter had her VW Tiguan towed here for a new battery. They tried to tell her she needed a brake fluid flush for around $200. A new battery for over $240. An oil change for over $220. And new rear brakes for nearly $600. Also used a scare tactic and told her the rear brakes were dangerous and needed replaced immediately (HUH!). When I questioned Brandon and one other gentleman on the phone, I received some defensive and unprofessional responses. So, I had the car towed elsewhere and got second opinions on all that was needed. I got a new battery and oil change for $270. The brakes and fluid are fine! I would suggest others use caution with this service shop. My feeling is that they were taking advantage of a 19 year old girl who knows nothing about cars! Completely UNACCEPTABLE!! read more

Was here on vacation from California. Had our Mercedes c320 2005 shipped here to Opelika AL. We discovered an awful clicking noise in the Engine. Since it was for Daughter & 2 very young grandchildren to drive after her Honda's engine blew up we needed it in good running order. We decided to gamble on a local European Auto shop in Opelika. My husband discussed it could be bearings from air conditioning & it needed recharging. They called us after inspecting it, informing us the water pump was shot. The air conditioning was fine, just needed recharging. They were fair, honest and informative and I might add quick. They fit us in due to Daughter had no car & 2 small children to pick up every day. We've had car since almost new so my husband knew everything about the car. We knew they were dead on with water pump and honest about recharging air. It was $1350 water pump & $285 to charge air. That's about right given it's a Mercedes. I would strongly refer them!! If anything goes wrong we will have her bring it back here. read more

I brought my Audi in for them to check my brakes and oil.. They checked everything in the car and and gave me a bill for over $1800.00 for front brakes and an oil sensor. I told them I wanted an estimate and they charges $150.00. I paid that fee and went to Universal who did the front and rear for over $500.00 less than they were charging for just fronts. I asked my daughter, an Auburn student, to take her 2014 BMW X3 to this place for service as her oil change and tire rotation was past due. She called me the next day and let me know they charged her $298. This was for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation only!! We usually have this done with either the BMW dealership $189 or a local European car shop for $120 in our city. It looks as though they are taking advantage of customers and dramatically over charging. When I called the owner, his only response was "we don't provide a Jiffy Lube oil change. The car and customer doesn't deserve that!" I was hoping there was a mistake and was giving him the opportunity to make this right. He felt his pricing was fair. Oil change and tire rotation for $298....really? They may be competent at repairing cars but I would avoid them as there others that know how to help maintain a car without overcharging the customer or unknowing students. read more

This is a precise and elegant repair service. I can hear harsh sounds when I step on the brakes. I thought I would spend a sum of money to replace the brake pads, but Performance surprised me. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED BECAUSE THEY ARE RESPECTFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and EFFECTIVE in addressing issues that occur from time to time with my cars. Worst experience ! I will never come back to this store again!! My tire pressure had a issue. I went there for service. Their invoice shows that they did charge me for checking the issue, which is usually free of charge in other store! They claimed they fixed the issue, but the issue come back again a few days! I went there do see why they didn't fix it. They did charge me again for just checking the same issue!!!!! Then, they didn't admit they wasn't able to fix the issue, and they claim they need to replace the whole parts!! I went away and drove to Atlanta, and fixed the issue without replace the whole parts! This shop is clearly fraud !!! I also heard they got two major maintenance plan. never do that!!! My friend did that and realized they just did oil change !!! I used this auto group last year for my Mercedes. I received a full service. The price was almost equivalent to having the car serviced directly at the dealership. When I went to have my car serviced again today I realized my wheel locks were missing from my glove box. I called the company and they denied accountability. I do however take some of the blame. I was delayed in notifying them. However, I did not know/think to check for my wheel locks. They would not help cover any of the cost for replacement wheel locks. I also have had problems with my windshield wiper fluid dispensing since the service. I did not notify them of this because I was very busy and did not have time. I accept responsibility for that not working, although it was working before the service. I will not be using them again. I'll just go directly to the dealership. Also forgot to mention they kept my car 3 days to complete a (according to mercedes) 8 hour service. read more
