Had a 2012 Chevy Impala with the Stabilitrak light plus check engine light on. Same problem existed a year ago and I29 Auto in Fargo replaced a Stabilitrak sensor and all was good for under $100. I figured over time the other one would go out. Lo and behold the same problem came up and Vergas Auto stated it was a coil, spark plugs, plug wires and potentially a cylinder. They said this was causing the StabiliTrak aspect and kicking back to the computer. I mentioned the I29 diagnosis and they all but ignored me. $630 and a day later after driving it 70 miles the same issues are happening. Don't even get me started on when they replaced a head gasket on my truck for $1500 and it rolls blue smoke out when you start it. They also didn't hook the stereo back up after taking the truck apart and CHARGED me to bring it back in do it. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.

I tried calling leaving voicemails asking for some kind of refund or anything even 50% and they just proceed to ignore me. I can't say enough good things about Larry Skalet (the owner) and his team at Master Transmission…read more We were on a road trip from northern MN to AZ and our transmission went out in Detroit Lakes. It was Saturday at about 4PM. For starters, Larry was the only one who would answer the phone over the weekend. But he was willing to come out to DL that evening and get us if the car couldn't make it to Fargo (which fortunately it did). After we explained our dilemma to them (I had a work interview early that week and our son was starting a new school), they worked over the weekend to completely rebuild our transmission and got us out of there by Monday at noon. In fairness I did pay them a bonus to do so (my suggestion, they did not ask for it), but they absolutely pulled out all the stops to get the transmission done for us as soon as they could. In addition, their price was well under what I know a competitive bid is for a full transmission rebuild. If you're looking for designer coffee, Muzak and fluffy couches to sit on while you wait, you'll be disappointed. (However, all of those things are a $5 Uber ride down the road.) Their operation is pretty no-frills. But that's not what I'm looking for or want in a transmission shop... I want someplace that can get the work done quickly, well, and for a fair price. If that is what you're looking for, this is the place. They're just imminently decent people who do really solid transmission work. I know I'm the first review on Yelp for them, but please don't let that keep you from giving them a try. You won't be sorry.
