We had a 50% off coupon at Valvoline so stopped to get this change accomplished. The staff was all super friendly; they filled all of our fluids and even checked the cabin filter. However, the low rating was due to the actual oil change. We drove away satisfied until 3 hours later we realized we had fluid leaking under our vehicle. Our invoice stated they installed a Valvoline Oil Filter. We happened to be near another Valvoline in Bismark ND. The ND facility brought us in and when they checked the filter, they noted that it was an off-brand unit and it had grit around the edge, which they stated was causing the leak. So back to the MN facility, the oil change was far from adequate. We called the owner and was just told the person who did the service would be talked to. That seemed like an inadequate response for something that could have caused a very serious situation if we had not stopped as soon as we did.

They'll honestly quote a variety of options and explain the pros and cons of going in each direction. They work on both domestic and foreign cars with equal competency. They offer either borrowing of a loaner car or pick-up/drop-off or customers too. Whether it's the simple oil change or the complex wiring, mechanical, and engine work, Matt's is the place for me! When I dropped off my vehicle I told Travis at the front desk that the AC wasn't working and I needed to have the breaks looked at as well. I asked if he would call me before doing any work because I know the AC isn't working but I don't know why. He said yes they'd give me a call. It was almost an hour later and I still hadn't received a call, so I called them back to see what they found was wrong. I was told they had recharged the AC, we're doing a break inspection, and my bill would be $336.00! I was very upset because that is not what we discussed when I dropped my vehicle off and the work was not authorized beforehand. My total bill was $367.16! I was told by Travis that's the only way they can check what's wrong with an AC is to recharge it. I asked what the AC service check for $9.99 includes then?! Travis said, that service includes turning your AC on and feeling if it blows cold air or not." I will never go back to this place and am appalled that they advertise a special AC check for only $9.99 that really ends up being a charge of $367.16 for an AC recharge!
